Basic Travel Requirements for Indonesians visiting Mexico
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Mexican Visa.
- A valid Indonesian passport with at least two(2) blank pages for visa stamp is required.
- A duly completed and signed visa application form should be presented.
- If the applicant is a minor, the parents or legal guardians have to sign the form.
- Three passport-sized photographs (4.5cm x 3.5 cm) taken on a white background.
- The travel documents must be complete.
- Proof of financial capability.
- Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations for the duration of stay.
- Copy of return flight ticket.
- Detailed documentation showing applicant’s ties to the home country.
- A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.

Mexico Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Mexico tourist visa allows Indonesians to visit Mexico for the purpose of sightseeing, relaxation, and recreation.
- Those with the intention of visiting friends and relatives in Mexico will also need this visa.
- Your passport must have validity of at least three months beyond your intended period of stay. If otherwise, you should consider getting your passport renewed before traveling.
- An invitation letter from the friend or relative you intend to visit in the country is needed. The letter should have a valid home address and telephone number of your host.
- During your time in the country, you are free to attend festivals and other social events.
- Proof that you are financially capable to support yourself during your stay in Mexico must be provided. This is usually done by way of presenting banks or credit card statements.
- You are expected to have at least $50 per day for your stay in Mexico.
- A copy of your round-trip or tour ticket is required.
- Applicants are required to present a letter from their current employer stating awareness of leave. Your position in the company, the term of your employment, and the duration of your leave should also be stated in the letter.
- If you are under the age of 18, the unabridged original copy of your birth certificate should be made available. Also, a letter of consent signed by both your parents is required if you will be traveling without your parents.
- A document that shows that you have the incentive of returning to your country at the expiry of your visa should be submitted during the visa application process, e.g., proof of family ties or a stable job in the applicant's home country.
- Evidence that the visa application fee has been paid is required.
Mexico Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Mexico business visa allows Indonesians visiting Mexico to engage in various business activities.
- Indonesians that are issued this visa can attend business meetings and conferences, sign and negotiate business contracts with partner companies while in the country.
- A passport with at least six months' validity must be provided.
- Applicants of this visa who intend to attend business conferences in the country are advised to register for the conference before they leave Indonesia.
- The certificate of registration should be submitted with the other necessary documents required.
- A letter of invitation written on the company’s letterhead should be provided. The letter should state the duration and purpose of your visit to Mexico.
- A letter in Spanish from your company indicating that you are an employee and that the services you will provide in Mexico will be paid for by your company must be provided.
- If the travel expenses of the applicant will not be covered by the company, this should be expressly stated in the letter.
- The certificate of business registration of the inviting company in Mexico is required.
- Proof that you are an Indonesian resident must be provided. Non-citizens should provide a copy of their stay permit.
- Minors should ensure the original copy of their birth certificate is submitted with the other required documents. A letter of consent signed by both their parents is also required.
- Applicants on this visa cannot be paid for the services they render while they are in the country.
- You are required to leave Mexico at the expiration of this visa.
Mexico Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Mexican student visa is issued to Indonesian students who intend to take part-time or full-time courses in any of the recognized institutions in Mexico.
- Applicants of this visa should ensure they have been offered admission into the school they applied for before applying for the visa.
- The applicant's original passport and a photocopy of the information page of the passport must be provided.
- The original admission letter written on the school’s letterhead should be provided. This proves that you have been offered admission into the school and you can attend classes.
- Bank account statements to prove that you have sufficient funds for your study in Mexico must be provided.
- If you have a scholarship, you should be able to present the scholarship letter from the institution, mentioning the exact amount of the scholarship.
- Certificates and transcripts from previously attended schools should be submitted during the visa application process.
- Proof that you have paid the tuition fee for your particular program of study should be provided.
- International students are permitted to work part-time for 20 hours per week when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.
- If you are a minor, the original copy of your birth certificate should be made available. Also, a notarized letter of consent signed by both your parents should be provided.
- The Mexico student visa can be extended to cover the duration of your study program in the country.
- You are allowed to obtain a temporary resident card once you get into the country.
- Foreigners should ensure they abide by all the rules guiding their visas.
- It is mandatory for travelers to be vaccinated against Yellow Fever before traveling to Mexico.
