Basic Travel Requirements for Indonesians visiting Mongolia
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Mongolian Visa.
- An original Indonesian passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
- A duly completed and signed visa application form is required.
- If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
- Passport-size photographs (2 x 2'') taken in white background.
- Complete travel documents.
- Proof of financial capability.
- Proof of accommodation.
- Copy of onward and return flight ticket.
- Documentation showing applicant’s ties to the home country, e.g. birth certificate or marriage certificate.
- A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.
- Medical insurance to cover medical expenses during the trip.

Mongolia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Indonesian who have intentions of touring Mongoliacan apply for the Mongolia tourist visa.
- Visitors who plan to stay more than 30 days must be registered within a seven days period on their arrival as overstaying your visa will result in a fine.
- If the purpose of your travel is to visit a friend or family, a tourist visa is not needed. You should apply for a family visa in this case.
- Foreigners who are legally exporting any antiques must have a receipt and a customs certificate from the place they bought them.
- Travelers entering the airport with extra baggage should expect to have their luggage opened and inspected.
- Visitors are allowed to bring the following into Mongolia duty-free:
- 1L of spirits.
- 2L of wine.
- 3L of beer.
- 200 cigarettes.
- Three bottles of perfume.
- If employed, the letter from the applicant’s employer should be provided. The letter should confirm the awareness of leave and should state continuing employment after the duration of the leave.
- Applicants are required to provide a copy of their return flight ticket.
- A copy of your bank statement for the last six months is required; this shows that you have sufficient funds to stay in Mongolia.
- Underage children should possess the original copy of their birth certificate, as well as, a notarized consent signed by both their parents.
- Applicants should present a document that shows that they have the incentive of returning to their country at the expiry of their visa.
Mongolia Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Mongolian Business visa is issued to Indonesians visiting Mongolia for business purposes.
- The business visa has three types; B visa, HG visa, and T visa.
- B Visa is a single entry business visa valid for thirty days.
- HG visa is a single entry business visa valid for a year.
- T visa is a multiple entry visa valid for six months to a year. It can be renewed annually.
- The applicant must have a passport valid for at least six months beyond stay, and also a round trip or onward ticket.
- A letter of employment from the applicant’s employer in Indonesia should be provided. The letter should state the applicant’s job position, the duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit.
- An invitation letter from the company you will be meeting up with in Mongolia is required. The letter should contain the company’s contact details and the purpose of the applicant’s visit.
- A copy of the certificate of state registration and certificate of foreign incorporation is required from the sending company.
- The party responsible for financing the applicant's travel expenses should be stated in the business letter provided.
- A copy of the inviting company’s tax record is required.
Mongolia Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Mongolian student visa(type S-visa) is issued to Indonesians traveling to Mongolia for the purposes of studying, training, internship, and research.
- A letter from the institution the applicant has been accepted to is required. The letter should be written on the institution's letterhead and signed by the head of the institution.
- The applicant should get prior approval from the Office of Immigration, Naturalisation and Foreign Citizens (OINFC) in Ulaanbaatar.
- The cost of studying in Mongolia depends on the particular program you are enrolled into. A ballpark figure for a year’s university tuition is US$2,000.
- The cost of living in Mongolia is not expensive, so accommodation, food, and entertainment average out at around US$400 per month.
