Nauru Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Nauru tourist visa is available to Indonesians intending to travel to Nauru for leisure, family visits, and tourism purposes.
  • An original Indonesian passport with a minimum validity of three months.
  • A duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • An onward/return ticket purchased should be presented.
  • Proof of accommodation either by a registered resident of Nauru or hotel booking reservation.
  • Currency restriction for entry into Nauru is unlimited only if it is declared on arrival.
  • Currency restriction during exit out of Nauru is up to AUD $2,500. A permit is required for amounts exceeding AUD $2,500.
  • You must obtain your visa before you travel to Nauru as there is no visa issuance on arrival. 
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer stating awareness and allowance of applicant’s leave. The job position of the applicant should be stated in the letter, as well as, the contact details of the company.
  • If you are under the age of 18, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided. If the minor is traveling with one or none of his/her parents, a notarized letter of consent signed by both parents of the applicant is required.
  • A document that shows that the applicant has the incentive of returning to Indonesia is required.
  • A vaccination certificate for yellow fever is required.

  • The business visa is issued to Indonesian business travelers who have the intention of visiting Nauru to engage in a number of business activities.
  • Foreigners can negotiate and sign business contracts with their business partners in the country when issued this visa.
  • Applicants who have the intention of attending conferences should pre-register for the conference before visiting the country.
  • A letter from your employer in Indonesia stating your job position and the terms of the applicant’s employment contract is required. The duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit should be stated in the letter.
  • An official letter of invitation written on the company’s letterhead stating the duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit should be provided. The letter should be signed by an authorized signatory in the company.
  •  A certificate of business registration of the company you are meeting with in Nauru must be provided.
  • If the responsibility of the applicant’s finances will be taken up by the host company or the applicant’s employer, it should be stated in the business letter.
  • A copy of the inviting company’s tax record is required.
  • Proof of the incentive of returning to your country at the expiry of your visa should be submitted.
  • Holders of this visa are not permitted to receive payment for the services they render while they are in the country.
