Russian Federation Visitor Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Russian tourist visa is available to Indonesians looking to travel the Russian Federation for tourism purposes.
- Private visit visas are required for applicants visiting family members or friends living in Russia.
- A private visit visa will allow you to enter the Federation of Russia and remain there for up to 90 days.
- Applicants are required to provide an invitation letter from your host. Your host will apply for an official invitation letter also known as ‘izveshchenie’.
- If you are traveling to The Russian Federation for tourism purposes, you should have a letter from the tour organizers or tourism agency.
- Travelers are allowed to enter into the territory of Russia through the border-crossing points open to international passenger traffic.
- A letter from your current employer is required as proof that you intend to return to Indonesia at the expiration of your visa.
- Visitors are required to declare amounts equivalent to $10,000 or more upon entry.
- A recent bank statement as proof of your capability to carter for yourself while you are in Russia must be presented.
- An HIV/AIDS certificate that is not more than 3 months old should be provided by the applicant.
- Receipt showing that you have paid for the services of a tour guide or a tourism agency if you are traveling for tourism purposes must be provided.
- When applying for a visa for someone under 18, you will need to include their birth certificate and a photocopy of their parent’s international passport.
- Applicants must submit proof of valid/acceptable travel medical insurance when applying for a Russia tourist visa. This insurance policy must cover the entire duration of your trip.
- Proof of hotel reservations must be provided, this is neccesary if you do not have a host in Russia who will accommodate you.
Russian Federation Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Indonesians traveling to The Russian Federation for business purposes can apply for a business visa.
- applicant's specific travel conditions.
- According to Russian law, the complete term of stay in Russia on a business visa should not exceed 90 days on a single visit within every 180 days.
- Business visas can be extended only in exceptional cases (such as a serious illness). Note that an extension can only be granted at the request of your visa sponsor/host.
Russian Federation Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Russian student visa is available for Indonesian students looking to continue their education in Russia.
- A valid passport that is valid for at least 18 months from the issue date of your visa and with at least 2 blank pages, plus a photocopy of the front page.
- One recent passport-sized photograph(3.5cm x 4.5cm) is required.
- An official letter of invitation from the GUVM (it must be the original document, not a copy)
- medical certificate less than three months old showing that you are clear of HIV (AIDS).
- You may be asked to present the certificate in both Russian and your own language and include your passport details, information on the duration of the stay in Russia, details of the HIV test (date, medication series, official stamp of the clinic or hospital that carried out the test, signatures of the doctors and your own signature).
- An application form, which can be completed online but must be printed out so you can submit a hardcopy to the embassy, consulate or visa center.
- If you are under 18 years old, you must also have a consent document signed by your parents or legal guardians which has also been certified by a notary.
- Russian student visas are initially issued for three months. You then have to apply to the local division of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation (FMS of Russia) to extend your visa.
- Ensure you are already accepted onto a course at a university so you can get an official invitation to come to Russia to study.
- This visa is valid for study in any Russian college or university or for any short-term courses.
- Proof of finances to cover your course and study costs in Russia should be provided.
- If you are looking to study at a state university in Russia or a university with state-funded places, you may be eligible to apply for a government scholarship.
