  • Indonesia citizens can travel to Rwanda without a visa for a maximum duration of 90 days..
  • Intending visitors are required to have a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months from the date of arrival into Rwanda.
  • The passport should have at least a blank page for visa stamping.
  • Visitors must provide proof of accommodation for their entire stay in Rwanda. This could be in the form of a  confirmed hotel booking or an invitation letter from a host living in the country.
  • Visitors are required to provide proof of sufficient funds to cover their expenses throughout their stay in Rwanda.
  • The import and export of local currency are restriction to RWF 5000 and its equivalent.  Currencies exceeding that amount must be declared upon arrival or exit.
  • Rwanda uses Central Africa Time (GMT +2) hence, Jakarta, Indonesia is 5 hours ahead of Rwanda.

Credit cards are accepted by a few places in Kigali and a few hotels/lodges in the country. In most places only cash is accepted.

Do I need vaccination for Rwanda?
Rwanda falls into the Yellow Fever zone of Africa. Visitors to the country are required to be vaccinated against Yellow Fever 10 days prior to their arrival in the country. They are also required to take precautions against malaria.
