Basic Travel Requirements for Indonesians visiting Slovakia
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Slovak Visa.
- An original Indonesian passport issued not more than 10 years earlier and valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure from Slovakia is required.
- The passport must contain at least two blank pages for visa stamping when issued.
- Previously issued Schengen visa (if present).
- Completely filled and signed visa application form.
- Three identical passport photographs(35mm x 45mm)taken on a light background.
- Travel insurance worth a minimum of 30,000 € and valid for the entire Schengen area.

Slovakia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Slovakia tourist visa is mainly issued for leisure, tourism, and recreational purposes.
- Indonesians can also apply for this visa if they plan on visiting friends and families residing in the country.
- This visa is a 90-day visa and can only be extended under special circumstances as determined by the immigration officer.
- After every 90 days stay, you have to be out of the country for another 90 days before you will be allowed to re-enter.
- If you have been previously issued a Schengen visa, they should be presented.
- Tourists must have a form of accommodation for the duration of their stay in Slovakia.
- If you intend to stay with a relative or friend, the host is required to present a cover letter, introducing the applicant and stating the duration of the trip, accommodation address and contact details.
- An invitation letter from your friend or relative in Slovakia that you would be residing with is required.
- If the applicant is traveling with a tour agency, a letter from the organizer is required.
- A bank statement, paycheck or salary slip of the applicant, issued not more than 6 months from the application date should be presented.
- All applicants are to have a medical insurance certificate worth at least 30,000 Euros that will be valid for the duration of the trip.
- It is possible for the immigration office to deny an applicant a visa without any reason and the decision is irreversible.
- Overstaying your visa is illegal and violators will be fined.
Slovakia Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Slovakia student visa is granted to Indonesian students who want to come to Slovakia for the purpose of studying.
- It also allows its holders to engage in training, researches and internships programs while in the country.
- A recently signed acceptance letter from the recognized school in Slovakia that the student is applying to is a key document to process this visa and thus it must be provided.
- You cannot apply for this visa unless you have been granted admission.
- Evidence of your accommodation for your studies should be provided.
- If you would be staying in a dormitory, the dormitory contract should be signed by both the applicant and an official of the dormitory.
- Students can also stay in a rented apartment. A contract specifying the address and details of the facility and the owner would have to be presented.
- A physical interview is usually required for all visa applicants.
- Proof of your academic records and qualifications for previous degrees is required.
- Minors are to submit their birth certificate and a signed declaration of consent from both parents or guardians.
- It is advisable to apply for your visa at least three months before your trip.
- Overstaying your visa is illegal and you would be deported and fined.
Slovakia Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Slovak transit visa is a Schengen visa that allows applicants to travel within the Schengen area without any restrictions.
- There are two types of Schengen transit visas, airport transit (type A) and transit visa (type B).
- Type A transit visa is issued to applicants who are switching from one flight to another in Slovakia.
- This visa entitles the foreigner to only pass through the international transit area of airports.
- It is valid for as long as it takes to switch flights.
- Type B transit visa allows applicants traveling from one non-Schengen country to another non-Schengen country to pass through Slovakia.
- This type B transit visa allows a stay of up to 5 days on Slovakia grounds.
- Holders of the type B transit visa can go on tours of the country for as long as their visa is valid.
- Onward trip tickets and visas for the next country are a part of the requirements for this visa to prove that the individual is only transiting.
- Those staying for up to five days are required to have accommodation in Slovakia.
- Proof of sufficient funds for both trips is also required.
