Basic Travel Requirements for Indonesians visiting Spain
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Spanish Visa.
- An original Indonesian passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
- A duly completed and signed visa application form.
- If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
- Two passport-sized photographs (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) taken on a white background.
- A valid Proof of financial support should be provided.
- Proof of accommodation to cover your entire stay.
- Copy of return flight ticket.
- Documentation showing the applicant’s ties to the home country.
- Travel medical insurance of 30,000 euros to cover the duration of the entire stay.

General Requirements for Spain Visa

Spain Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Spanish tourist visa is granted to Indonesians who intend to travel to Spain for tourism.
- A visitor who wants to enter Spain as a tourist requires a short term visa. This short term visa is also known as Schengen (tourist) visa.
- A passport that is valid for at least 6 months after the intended date of travel and 3 months after scheduled return from travel is required.
- A previous passport should be presented if available and two blank pages are to be made available for visa stamps.
- Three colored copies of the data page of the passport should be presented.
- Two (3.5cm x 4.5cm) colored passport photographs that are not more than 1 month old and on a white background.
- Payslips for the past six months should be presented.
- Personal statement of account for the past six months and that of your company should be submitted if you are being sponsored.
- Proof of ties to your home country is required if there are any.
- A valid hotel booking is required as proof of accommodation arrangement.
- You must show proof of having valid travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000EUR.
Spain Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Spanish business visa is available for Indonesians traveling to Spain to conduct business with their Spanish business partners or clients.
- The business visa for the Schengen Territory allows you to stay and travel within the Schengen territory for a maximum period of 90 days per year.
- Invitation Letters of Spanish companies must be addressed to the Consulate General of Spain in Indonesia and they must be written in Spanish and must be sent to the applicant by Courier Service.
- Applicants must also include an original invitation letter along with their applications as photocopies and scans are not accepted.
- The following pieces of information must be included in the invitation letter:
- The reason behind the invitation.
- The personal data of the guests(name and surname, passport number, expedition, and expiration dates).
- The kind of trade relations between the partners.
- If you intend to start a business in Spain, It takes 182 days to get construction permits in Spain, with several certificates and inspections required as part of the process.
- Resolving business insolvency can take up to almost 2 years.
- The Spanish company is expected to take charge of the welfare of the guests and of the immigration liabilities.
- Proof of commercial relations with the inviting company must be provided. This proof must include; original Bills of Lading, custom clearance documents, etc.
- All original documents of the Indonesian company that is sending you on the business trip must be provided. (Certificate of Incorporation or Registration, Memorandum of Articles of Association and Tax Clearance).
Spain Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Spanish student visa is available for Indonesians who have been accepted to study at a University or college in Spain.
- Tuition at some colleges costs as little as 5,500 euros per year while others cost upwards of 12,000 euros per year. This also depends on your study degree.
- Applicants can also apply for financial aid assistance. These aids include student loans, grants, and scholarships.
- Most classes in Spain are taught in Spanish. However, with the increasing number of international students entering schools in the country, it is becoming much easier to find classes available in English as well. Even if you choose English classes, be prepared to learn Spanish anyway.
- Students should have at least 300 euros monthly to sustain themselves financially.
- Applicants looking to study for more than three months are eligible to apply for a residence permit.
- An original passport valid for at least three months beyond intended stay and/or national ID card
- A letter of invitation is required from the Spanish college/university.
- Medical insurance with international coverage of at least 30,000 euros is required.
- A medical certificate must be submitted to prove that you are in good health.
- A certificate showing your absence in police records in Indonesia is to be provided.
Spain Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa enables Indonesians to take up employment in Spain.
- Confirmation of employment in the country is necessary before you initiate the visa application process.
- A letter from your employer in Spain confirming your employment should be provided.
- The address of the company, as well as your job description, should be clearly stated in the letter.
- Proof that you are not receiving below the Spanish minimum wage is required.
- You are required to apply for a work permit.
- Receipt of paid visa application fee should be provided.
- Proof that you have the incentive of returning to Indonesia is required(This is a necessary requirement for seasonal workers).
- You are expected to abide by all the rules guiding your visa process and application.
- At the expiration of your visa, you are required to leave the country.
Spain Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The medical visa is available for Indonesians seeking medical attention that cannot be received in their country but in Spain.
- Travelers must already have valid health insurance coverage of about 30,000 Euros before traveling for medical treatment.
- Your local doctor in Indonesia should provide your diagnosis. The reason the proposed treatment is best administered in Spain and the duration of the treatment should be stated in a document.
- A letter from the doctor in Spain stating that he has accepted to take up the treatment should be provided.
- The nature of the treatment and the intended time of recovery should be clearly stated.
