This visa is for Kenyans who intend to travel to Afghanistan for recreation, relaxation, and sightseeing. Applicants who have been invited by friends or relatives living in Afghanistan can also apply for this visa. In this case, an invitation letter written by friends or relative is to be submitted at the embassy by the applicant. Tourist visas are usually issued for a period of 3 months and the period of stay is capped for 30 days. The period of stay in Afghanistan for a tourist visa is capped to 30 days. Tourist visas are not extendable and non-convertible. All fees paid for the visa application are non-refundable irrespective of the outcome of the application. The validity of the visa begins from the issue date of the visa. A letter addressed to the Consulate of Afghanistan outlining the purpose of your travel, the duration of intended stay, names of places to be visited, and contact information in Afghanistan is required. Applicants of these visa are not permitted to take part in business activities during their time in the country. A letter from your employer in Kenya confirming that you are currently employed by the company, for how long, as well as, your yearly salary is required for employed applicants. A copy of your stay permit in Kenya is required. Applicants under the age of 18 years are required to submit the original copy of their birth certificate, indicating the names of both their parents. A letter of consent signed by both parents is also required. The tourist visa is issued on a single entry basis of either 1 month, 3 months, or 6 months. The validity of the visa is at the discretion of the Embassy of Afghanistan. Applicants are to provide bank statement of not less than three months to the period of application of visa. This is proof of continuous flow of income and that you will be able to cater for yourself during your time in the country. Applicants are expected to show that they have a reason to returning to their country at the expiration of their visa. A proof of hotel reservation and flight itinerary (flight ticket and destination passes). A letter from your physician confirming that you are free from all communicable diseases. Applicants should submit a letter to the embassy indicating that the applicant is aware of the risks involved in the journey and takes full responsibility of any liability arising during or as a result of the trip to Afghanistan. All fees paid for the visa application are non-refundable irrespective of the outcome of the application. The validity of the visa begins from the issue date of the visa.
Afghanistan Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
Afghanistan business visa is issued to applicants who intend to travel to Afghanistan for business purposes Business visas can be issued for single or multiple entries for a period of 3 months to one year. The duration of stay in Afghanistan for these visas (per visit) is capped to 30 days for a 3 months single visa entry visa, 60 days for a 6 month multiple entry visa and 180 days for a 1 year multiple entry. Applicants are to have a valid passport with at least six months validity remaining. Applicants are to submit two passport photographs (attached with cellophane tape) An official letter of invitation is to be issued and approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Afghanistan and sent directly to the consulate. A letter written on the host company’s letterhead and this should contain the applicant’s passport number, status in the company, and the purpose of the visit to Afghanistan. The company you intend to transact business with should submit their business Registration Certificate with the Ministry of Economy in Afghanistan or registration document from Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant while in Afghanistan and must provide detailed contact information. A letter from your employer in Kenya stating the awareness of your leave, and the purpose and duration of your business leave. If you have been in business with the company in Afghanistan, proof of this should be presented. The Consulate of Afghanistan does not issue multiple entry business visa to Kenyans. Receipt of payment of visa application fee is required. all fees paid for the visa application are non-refundable irrespective of the outcome of the application. The validity of the visa begins from the date of issuance. Proof of the incentive of returning to your country at the expiry of your visa is required. A proof from your physician that you are in the best health condition.
Afghanistan Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements
The Transit Visa is issued to Kenyans making stopovers in Afghanistan.
Applicant must have a passport with at least 3 months validity.
With this visa, foreigners can board a connecting flight from an airport in Afghanistan to their destination country.
This visa also allows its holders to transit through a port in Afghanistan to a third destination.
The visa and other entry permits to the destination country are required.
Flight ticket to your destination country should be submitted.
Holders of this visa are not allowed to work while they are in the country.
You cannot study with the transit visa
