Central African Republic visa requirements for Kenyans

Kenyans who apply for this visa  are those with the intention of visiting Central African republic for sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation.

Applicant must have a passport valid for 6 months beyond their stay in Central African Republic, with at least one blank stamp page available for Central African republic visa stamp. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Central African republic visas.

Applicant should provide two signed  Central African republic visa application forms. The form are to be filled in cap letters.

Two recent 2x2 passport photographs which would be in color, front view, and with a plain/white background.

Kenyans can obtain a visa on arrival on condition that an express authorization has been requested in advance. Kenyans with no visa are sanctioned by a fine of 200,000 FCFA (300 €).

Any Applicant (Kenyan) that does not have the Central African Republic identity card (passport or identity card) is considered as a foreigner even if he/she has a multi citizenship and must therefore possess a visa.

Kenyans travelling to the central african republic can obtain their visa from any of the Central African Republic Diplomatic mission closest to them or french diplomatic mission.

Central african republic does not have an embassy in Kenya.

Applicants who have received an invitation from their host in Central African Republic are required to present their letter. The letter should contain the home address, telephone number, and a valid means of identification of the host.

The relationship with your host in the country and proof of the relationship with the host should be tendered.

Tourist who intends to travel through a tourist group would have to provide a letter of invitation from a registered tourist group in Central African republic.

 Employed Applicants should ensure they have a letter from their employer stating that they are aware of your leave and the duration.

Kenyans who hold this visa cannot take up part-time or full-time courses in any institution in the country.

Holders of this visa are not permitted to engage in business activities or be paid for the services they render while they are in the country.

An applicant should provide a bank statement which clearly shows his full name as appeared on his passport and which must not be more than 90 days as a proof of sufficient funds.

You can attend festivals and events during your time in the country.

If you are less than 18 years, the unabridged original copy of your birth certificate should be provided. Also, a notarized consent signed by both your parents should be provided.

Applicants also have to provide proof of travel insurance documents in case of emergencies that might come up in Central African republic.

Applicants should provide documents that serve as proof of health insurance. 

Proof that you have the incentive of returning to your country at the expiry of your visa should be submitted by the applicant.

Receipt of paid visa application fee is required to be submitted by applicant.

International certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is mandatory.

The validity of a Central African republic tourist visa is 90 days.

Central African republic tourist visas are usually processed within 3 working days. Rush or Emergency visa service may be available for additional fees.

Applicants should submit a computer generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency.

Hotel and/or cruise reservations should be submitted by applicant and If he is staying in various hotels, applicant is required to provide copies of each reservation. 

A letter from the applicants host in  Central African Republic is required if they are providing accommodations to the applicant.
