Documents Kenyan applicants need to provide.
- A passport with a validity of more than 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have two blank pages for necessary stamps.
- Completed visa application form by the applicant.
- Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background showing the full face. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
- Bank statement from the previous three months prior to the period of visa application. This is proof that the applicant can cater for himself/herself whilst in the country.
- Valid travel insurance with sufficient coverage for medical insurance. This should be valid for the duration of the applicants' stay in the country.
- Confirmed accommodation for the period you will be staying in the country.
- Copy of return flight ticket.

Tourist visa
- This visa is for Kenyans who are traveling to the Dominican Republic for the purpose of sightseeing, relaxation, and recreation.
- Kenyans who have been invited by their friends or relatives living in the country are eligible for this visa.
- If you have been invited by a friend or relative living in the country, a letter of invitation from your host is required. The letter should introduce the applicant of the visa and state the relationship between the applicant and the host.
- The duration and the purpose of the applicants' visit should also be stated in the letter, as well as, the contact address of the host.
- Foreigners visiting the Dominican Republic are free to attend festivals and events of their choice.
- A letter from the applicants' employer written on the company’s letterhead is required. The letter should indicate the applicants' job status, length of employment, and duration of the leave.
- A copy of your Kenyan stay permit should be presented.
- If you are under the age of 18 years, you are expected to submit the original copy of your birth certificate. If you will be traveling alone, a notarized consent signed both your parents should be submitted during the application process.
- Proof of the incentive of returning to Kenya after the expiry of the visa is required.
- A receipt that proves that you have made payment for visa application is required.
- With this visa, you are prohibited from receiving payments for the services you render whilst you are in the country.

Business visa
- The Business Visa is for foreigners who have the intention of engaging in various business activities in the country.
- Business travelers are allowed to negotiate and sign business contracts, attend conferences, trade fairs, and business summits in the Dominican Republic.
- An official letter of invitation from the applicants' business partner is required. The letter should state the duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit and must be signed by an authorized signatory.
- A letter from the applicants' company, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicants' employment status, and clearly stating the nature of the business to be conducted in the country is required.
- The letter should also state who will be financially responsible for the applicant in the Dominican Republic and must provide detailed contact information.
- Applicants of this visa must provide a document which shows a clean criminal record. This document must be issued within the past year.
- A medical report stating that the applicant is free of any communicable or contagious diseases. The report must be translated into Spanish.
- Foreigners should ensure they are vaccinated against yellow fever before traveling to the Dominican Republic.

- This visa is issued to foreigners who intend to make stopovers in the Dominican Republic.
- Applicants of this visa may also have the intention of transiting through the Dominican Republic to their destination country.
