Basic Travel Requirements for Kenyans visiting Georgia

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Georgian Visa.

Georgia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Georgian Tourist Visa is issued to foreigners traveling to the country for leisure, recreation, and relaxation.
  • Kenyans with the intention of honoring the invitation of their friends or relatives living in Georgia are eligible applicants for this visa.
  • Kenyans traveling for the above purposes can also apply for an eVisa.
  • Foreigners who have been invited to the country by their friends or relatives should ensure they possess an invitation letter from their host. The letter should state the relationship between the applicant and the host and should include the valid contact details of the host.
  • Kenyans on this visa are free to attend events and festivals of their choice during their time in the country.
  •  Employed applicants are to submit a letter from their employer stating the position the applicant holds in the company, the duration of the trip, and the purpose of the trip.
  • Applicants should ensure they are in possession of the copy of their Kenyan residence permit.
  • Minors should submit the original copy of their birth certificate with the other required documents. If they will be traveling without supervision, a notarized consent signed by both their parents is also required.
  • A document which shows that you have the incentive of returning to your country after your visa expires should be provided.
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee is required.
  • Tourists cannot take up paid or unpaid employment during their time in Georgia.
  • Kenyans should ensure they do not disobey the rules of their visa.

Georgia Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The eligible applicants of this visa are businessmen and businesswomen visiting Georgia for business purposes.
  • Foreigners in the country for business purposes can engage in negotiation and signing of business contracts with their partners.
  • Kenyans visiting Georgia for the above purposes can also apply for an eVisa.
  • Business travelers in Georgia are not prohibited from attending trade fairs, conferences, and business summits while they are in the country.
  • Applicants of this visa attending conferences in Georgia are advised to register for the conferences before traveling. Proof of registration is required during visa application.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer confirming allowance and awareness of business leave is required. The letter should state the job position of the applicant and also state the duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit.
  • A letter of invitation, written on the company’s letterhead, from the host company is required. The letter should state the nature of the business to be carried out and the duration of the applicants' visit.
  • If the host company or the sponsoring company will assume the responsibility for the applicants' finances, it should be stated in the business letter.
  • If there have been previous business transactions between both companies, proof of this is required.
  • A receipt that shows that visa application fee has been paid in full is required.
  • Original marriage certificate and a birth certificate can serve as proof of incentive of returning to Kenya. These documents should be provided.
  • If you will be traveling with an underage child, the original copy of the child’s birth certificate is required.
  • Applicants of this visa should note that they cannot receive payment for the services they render in Georgia.
