Basic Travel Requirements for Kenyans visiting Romania

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Romanian Visa.


  • A Kenyan passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
  • Duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.

Citizens of countries that require a Romanian visa can gain entry into the country with a Schengen visa. Nationals of Andorra, Australia, Canada, Israel, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Seychelles, Singapore, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, United States, Uruguay, and Venezuela can gain visa-free entry for a period of 90 days in a 180-day period.

Travelers should try as much as they can to change money only in recognized exchange shops and banks as it is illegal to change money on the streets. Foreigners are not allowed to enter or leave the country with more than €10,000 or its equivalent.
