- The Taiwan tourist visa is for Kenyans traveling to Taiwan for the purpose of tourism.
- Applicants are required to have a passport with validity of at least three months beyond intended stay.
- Two 45 mm x 35 mm passport-sized photographs are required.
- The Taiwan tourist visa is valid for 90 days.
- You can extend your tourist’s visa twice for another 60 days. To do this, you’ll l have to go to the National Immigration Agency in Taiwan before your visa expires.

- Kenyans intending to travel to Taiwan for business purposes are eligible for the Taiwan business visa.
- The Taiwan business visa has two types:
- Single-entry visa.
- Multiple-entry visa.
- Taiwan is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for foreign direct investment (FDI) as businesses from around the world.
- A signed letter of invitation (this must include a copy of the inviter’s ARC or ID – front and back. Expired ARCs will not be accepted.

Taiwan Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Kenyans looking to further their studies in Taiwan can apply for the Taiwan student visa.
- With this visa, students can engage in part-term or full-time studies, research, internship, and exchange programs.
- Before initiating the visa application process, applicants should ensure they have been accepted into the institution of their choice.
- Students with short-study visa are allowed to study in Taiwan for 180 days.
- Students with long-study visa are allowed to study in Taiwan for more than 6 months. However, they are required to apply for an ARC (Alien Residence Certificate).
- Before applying for a residence permit, students will go through a medical exam where their examining doctor fills out a Health Certificate Application.
- After that, the student is required to fill a PCC (Police Clearance Certificate).
- The residence permit fee costs RM279 ( for3 working days) or RM419 ( if you want to collect the permit on the same day/next day).
- A letter of admission written on the institution’s letterhead and signed by the head of the institution is required. The letter should have the course the applicant has been offered and the duration of the study.
- Students must show proof of financial stability. Students need to have at least 1,200 NT$ monthly.
- Kenyans in Taiwan for study can work for about 20 hours when school is in session and full-time when the school has gone on break.
- Certificates and transcripts of the school’s applicant previously attended should be submitted with the other necessary document.
