Basic Travel Requirements for Laotians visiting Austria

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Austrian Visa.

  • A Laotian passport issued not more than 10 years earlier and valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure from Austria.
  • The passport must contain at least two blank pages for visa stickers.
  • Previously issued Schengen visa (if there is any).
  • Completely filled and signed Austrian visa application form.
  • Two identical passport photographs with a light background.

Austria Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is usually valid for a maximum stay of 90 days in every 180 days.

  • Austrian business visa is a visa issued to foreigners who intend to visit Austria for business transactions.
  • Laotians who wish to visit Austria to sign business deals, for meetings, conferences, exhibitions or trade fairs can apply for this visa.
  • A letter from your employer is required which should state the reason why you would be traveling to Austria.
  • The letter show also state your current job position in the company and your monthly salary.
  • An invitation letter from your company business partner in Austria, the letter must show your partner address, contact information and your entry and exit dates in Austria.
  • Applicants are to present proof of how they intend to fund their trip. Either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.
  • A document showing proof of hotel reservations or accommodation in Austria.
  • A valid travel insurance that will cover accidents or illnesses that may occur during your stay in Austria.
  • A valid passport not more than 10 years with a validity period of 3 moths after your exit date in Austria.
  • The passport must have blank pages for visa stamps.
