Basic Travel Requirements for Laotians visiting Canada
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Canadian Visa.

Canada Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

tourist visa is a short-time visa issued to Laotians visiting
Canada for sightseeing, tour or leisure.
- A
complete Tourist visa application form for Canada is required.
- A
recent passport photo not older than 6 months.
- A
passport with at least six month validity period and two blank visa
pages for entry and return tickets.
- A
cover letter showing the travelers personal details and travel
information is required.
- Travel
itinerary (proof of hotel reservation and travel ticket) after visa
has been approved.

most recent monthly bank statement is needed. The bank statement
must show the applicants name, account balance and the date the bank
statement was issued.

applicants are expected to bring a letter from their employer. The letter should contain your employer's contact details, a note that a

Canada Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

- The business persons and business delegations visa is a temporary visa that gives business travelers in Canada a stay usually less than 6 months. Business travelers with this visa are only allowed to discuss business and sign potential agreements, they are not allowed to work for any company in Canada with this visa.
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover the stay period in Canada is required.
- Laotians visiting Canada on a business visa are not allowed to benefit from Canadian health coverage or apply for a Canadian document.
- Been a Laotian on a business visa to Canada, you must have proof that you are developing a business relationship with a company in Canada and you have been invited for a meeting or conference.
- Before you can be issued a business visa in Canada, You must have your own business in a country other than Canada or be an employee of a business registered in a country other than Canada.
- Two recently taken passport photos.
- All documents to be submitted must be in English or French. If they are translated, a document must be provided stating that the translation is correct.
Canada Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Laotian visiting Canada for study can apply for the Canadian student visa.
- Laotians applying for Canada student visa must have been offered admission into a designated learning institution in Canada.
- Applicants must have the following documents to obtain a study visa in Canada:
- A valid passport and other lawful travel documents required to study in Canada.
- Adequate financial resources to cover expenses charged by the educational institution and other personal expenses that may be incurred.
- Financial resources to cover return ticket after completion of the course of study.
- Medical certificate showing good health and fitness.
- A valid police certificate showing that the applicant has a clean criminal record.
- A letter of acceptance from the Canadian educational institute with a valid designated learning institution (DLI) number.
- A recently taken passport size photo and other necessary information to show proof of identity of the person accompanying the applicant.
- The Canadian student visa is valid for an additional 90 days after the expiry of your study program. Students who wish to extend their stay can do so.
Canada Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Canada work visa is a visa issued to Foreigners visiting Canada in order to fill in a vacant job position.
- Laotians who is skilled and experience to fill in a vacant job position in a Canadian company must apply for the Canadian work permit.
- An offer of employment from a Canadian employer is usually required before the worker may be granted a Temporary Work Permit by the Department of Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
- Depending on the foreign worker's country of citizenship, a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) may also be needed in order to enter Canada.
- Before a Temporary Work Permit can be issued, the Canadian employer who wishes to hire a temporary foreign worker may need to apply for and be granted a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) by ESDC.
- The ESDC will grant a positive LMIA if it is satisfied that no Canadian citizen or permanent resident is available to do the job.
- Work Permits may be issued by Canadian immigration officials without the LMIA requirements in a limited number of situations.
- Once the LMIA is granted, the Canadian employer can provide a temporary job offer to the foreign worker.
- A Temporary Work Permit may be issued for a period of time ranging from a few days to a few years.
- In most cases, the process of applying for a Work Permit is twofold.
- First, the Canadian employer must receive government permission to hire outside Canada.
- Once this permission has been granted, the designated employee must apply for and receive his or her Work Permit.
