Basic Travel Requirements for Laotians visiting Taiwan

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Taiwanese Visa.


    • A Laotian passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
    • Duly completed and signed visa application form.
    • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form and a letter of consent.
    • A recent Passport-size photographs (45 mm x 35cm) in size and taken against a white background.
    • Travel document.
    • Proof of financial support to cover the duration of stay in Taiwan.
    • Proof of accommodation while in the country.
    • Copy of return flight tickets.
    • Documentation showing applicant’s ties to home country, e.g. verification from the applicant’s employer or the applicant's birth certificate.
    • A police report from the applicants home country showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.
    • Medical Insurance to cover the duration of stay in Taiwan.
    • A document showing the applicant purpose and duration of stay in Taiwan.
    • Copy of travel itinerary.
