Basic Travel Requirements for Lesothos visiting Netherlands

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Dutch Visa.

  • An original Lesotho passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond the required stay in the Netherlands.
  • Passport must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
  • Duly completed and signed the Netherlands visa application form.
  • The parents or legal guardians have to sign the form if the applicant is a minor.
  • Three passport-size photographs (4 cm x 6 cm) taken on a white background should be attached to the application form.
  • Proof of financial capability or a valid bank statement is required.

  • An original copy of the return flight ticket should be submitted.

Netherlands Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The tourist visa is for the sole purpose of leisure travel, including vacationing, sightseeing, visiting family and friends. 
  • It allows stays of up to 90 days in the Netherlands.
  • Netherlands visa application form should be completely filled, printed and signed.
  • Lesotho passport that is valid for at least 3 months after the date of exit from the Netherlands.
  • The passport must have at least two blank pages for Netherlands visa.

Netherlands Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The business visa is issued to foreigners travelling to the Netherlands for business purposes such as attending a business meeting, conferences, negotiating and signing contracts.
  • It is valid for a maximum stay of up to 90 days.
  • Applicant should provide proof of company registration of the company in the Netherlands by providing a certificate of registration issued by the Government of the Netherlands.
  • A cover letter from the applicant's employer in Lesotho stating the awareness of applicant's trip, duration and reason of travel to the Netherlands are required.
  • The business cover letter should also indicate that the applicant is of good conduct.
  • The cover letter should clearly state who will be financially responsible for the applicant during the stay in the Netherlands and must be signed by a senior employee in the company in Lesotho.
  • The invitation letter must be approved by the chamber of commerce in the Netherlands must be provided.
  • Proof of business dealings by both companies should be provided.
  • Income tax for the last three months must be provided.
  • Confirmation of return ticket must be provided, this is to show that the applicant has the intention of returning back to Lesotho.
  • Proof of yellow fever vaccination and other communicable diseases should be submitted.
  • Applicants travel itinerary showing travel details and dates of entry and exit from the Netherlands is required.
