Basic Travel Requirements for Libyans visiting Austria

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Austrian Visa.


  • Correctly filled and signed application form by the applicant is required.
  • Original Libya passport with a validity of 6 months after exiting Austria.
  • Passport should have at least one blank page for the visa stamp.
  • 2 passport-sized photographs taken against a white background.
  • A copy of travel insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
  • Round-trip flight reservations or a complete travel itinerary.
  • A copy of a hotel reservation showing proof of accommodation in Austria.
  • Bank statements from the previous 3 months showing that the applicant has funds that are enough for the duration of stay.
  • Applicants are required to apply for visa 3 months before the date of departure.
  • Applicants that are not up to 18 years are required to provide a copy of their original birth certificate and signed permission note from their parents or legal guardians.
