How to get a Chad visa from Libya

• A tourist visa is issued to foreigners travelling to Chad for the purpose of leisure and tourism.
• Completely filled and signed visa application form.
• Signed original Libyan passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond stay in Chad.
• The passport must have 2 blank pages for the Chad visa stamp.
• 3 recent passport photos taken against a white background within the last 6 months is required.
• Copy of round trip tickets or detailed itinerary for the duration of the trip.
• A letter of invitation from the host in Chad is required.
• The host could either be a family member, friend or tour company in Chad.
• The letter must indicate the relationship with the applicant, purpose, and duration of visit to Chad
• This visa does not allow its holders to take up employment during their time in the country.
• Non-Libyans are required to have a copy of their Libya residency permit.
• Proof of payment of visa application fee is required.

• A business visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of negotiation and signing of business contracts, involving in trade fairs, and attending business conferences in Chad.
• If there have been previous trade relations between both companies, proof of this is required.
• Documents that show that the applicant has the incentive of returning to Libya should be provided.
• A copy of the applicant's Libya residence permit is required if the applicant is not a citizen of Libya.
• A business letter from either the sending company in Libya or sponsoring company in Chad. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery and addressed to the Embassy of Chad.
• The letter should briefly introduce the applicant by specifying employment status/position held in the company by the applicant, the nature of the business to be conducted, the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Chad.
• The business letter must state if the host in Chat will be financially responsible for the applicant during the duration of the required stay in Chad.
