How to get a Sudan visa from Libya

• A tourist visa is granted for the purpose of tourism, visiting friends and relatives and for leisure.
• A copy of a signed passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond stay in Sudan.
• Passport must have at least two blank pages for the visa stamp.
• An application form that is correctly filled, signed and stamped.
• One copy of recent passport photograph with a white background.
• Passport photographs should be taken within the last 3 months.
• For minor, a letter from parents showing approval of travel and duration of stay.
• Birth certificate of minor and parents' contact details are also required.
• Letter of invitation from host stating the relationship to the applicant and purpose of the stay.
• The letter must include the duration of stay, place, and contact of the host in Sudan.
• Applicants are not permitted to work with the tourist visa.

• The business visa allows foreigners visiting for business activities such as conferences, trade fairs, and business summits, negotiating and signing of business contracts in Sudan.
• A letter from the applicant’s employer in Libya confirming awareness and allowance of business leave is required.
• The letter should also state the activities to be carried out by the applicant and the duration of the applicant’s visit.
• The letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in Sudan.
• An official letter of invitation from the inviting company on the company’s letterhead stating the nature of the business to be carried should be provided.
• The Certificate of Business Registration and the Income Tax Return of the host company is required.
• If there has been any previous dealing between the applicant and the host company in Sudan, proof of this should be submitted.
• A receipt indicating that payment has been made for visa application.
• Documents which show that you have the incentive of returning to Libya after the visa expires is required.
• Applicants are advised to be immunized against yellow fever before traveling to Sudan.

The best time to visit Sudan is from December to February when temperatures drop to around 30°C, but nights can be around half that - which is a welcome relief. May to September is simply too cauldron-like, although there are bargains to be found in October.
