Netherlands visa requirements for Malagasys

Malagasy visiting the Netherlands for vacation, leisure or sightseeing are the recipients of the Netherlands tourist visa.

Malagasy visiting friends and relatives can do so on this visa.

If the applicant’s purpose of visit is to see a relative or friend, they would require a letter of invitation from their host in the  Netherlands.

The letter of invitation should contain the full contact address of the host and a valid means of identification.

Without a host in the Netherlands, you should submit a cover letter stating the purpose of your visit, places you intend to visit while in the Netherlands and how long you intend to stay in the country.

A passport with a minimum validity of  6 months from the proposed date of travel should be submitted.

Applicants visa application form should be filled appropriately and submitted.

Employed should obtain a letter from their employer their awareness of the applicants leave and duration of leave granted should be stated in the letter.

Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicant's duration of stay should be submitted.

A proof that shows that the applicant has the intention of returning to Madagascar at the expiration of their visa should be submitted.

Applicant travel itinerary and round trip reservations should be submitted.

Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation should be submitted.

A travel health insurance with a minimum value of 30,000 euros should be submitted.

A certificate that shows that the applicant free from all forms of communicable diseases should be submitted.

Proof of yellow fever vaccination is mandatory.

Bearers of this visa cannot take up paid employment.

Proof of visa application fee payment should be submitted.

Minors travelling without their parents should submit a copy of their original birth certificate alongside a letter of consent from one or both parents.

The Netherlands business visa is issued to Malagasy travelling to the Netherlands with the intention of engaging in business activities.

Bearers of this visa are allowed to meet up business partners and sign business contracts.

Applicant should have a passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from the proposed date of travel.

A duly signed and completed visa application form is required.

Applicants employer should submit a letter stating the purpose of the applicant's visit and duration of the business trip.

The host company in the Netherlands should submit a letter stating their awareness of the applicant's visit, duration and nature of business to be carried out.

If the travel expenses of the applicant would be taken care of by either the parent company in Madagascar or the host company in the Netherlands it should be clearly stated in their letter. 

Proof of previous business dealings between both companies should be submitted.

Self-employed applicants would be required to submit a copy of their business registration certificate.

A copy of the company's Income Tax Return for the last six months should be provided.

Full round trip flight reservation beginning not less than 10 working days from the application is important.

A proof of financial capability of the Applicant should be submitted.

Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation is needed if the inviting company is not taking up the applicant's financial responsibility.

Travel health insurance of a minimum value of 30,000 euros should be submitted.

Proof of paid visa application fee should be submitted.

Possession of a valid business visa does not guarantee entry into the Netherlands, entry into the Netherlands is at the discretion of the immigration officer at the port of entry.

The Netherlands student visa is issued to Malagasy who have been offered admission into an institute of learning in the Netherlands.

Applicants should ensure that they have been offered admission into an institute of learning before initiating this process.

Applicants should be in possession of a valid passport.

Applicant should submit a copy of their letter of admission to the embassy.

A letter from the institution in the Netherlands addressed to the embassy stating and acknowledging the acceptance of the applicant into their institution.

Transcripts and certificates that qualifies the applicant for the course in which he has been granted admission should be submitted.

If the certificates do not meet or match the requirement for that course, such an application might be denied.

Proof of part or full payment of tuition fee should be submitted.

Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicant's duration of stay should be submitted. 

Foreign students are allowed to work part-time as long as it does not interfere with their studies.

An extension to this visa can be granted to cover the full duration of your program.

Proof of medical fitness showing that the applicant is free from all forms of communicable diseases should be submitted.

If you are a minor travelling without your parent, a letter of consent signed by both parents should be provided. Also, an unabridged original copy of your birth certificate is required.

Proof of paid visa application fee should be submitted.
