Basic Travel Requirements for Malians visiting Japan

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Japanese Visa.

  • Passport with a validity of 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The must-have at least two blank pages for necessary stamps.

Japan Visitor Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreign nationals visiting Japan for the purpose of tourism, leisure, and business.
  • This visa allows foreigners to visit their friends and relatives in the country.
  • If you are visiting your friend or relative in the country, a letter of invitation from your host should be provided. The letter must state the relationship between the applicant and the host and must contain the valid contact information of the host.
  • Foreigners who are in the country for business must provide a letter from the inviting company in Japan. The letter should state the nature of the business to be carried out and the duration of the visit.
  • A letter from your employer in Mali is required. The letter should be printed on the company’s letterhead and state the duration and the purpose of the visit.

Japan Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants of this visa are those who are traveling to Japan to seek and receive medical treatment that cannot be gotten in their home country
  • Foreigners applying for this visa should provide a report from their local physician stating the nature of the applicant’s ailment and the reason the treatment will be best gotten in Japan.
  • A report from the medical institution willing to treat the specific ailment that the applicant of this visa has is required.
  • Proof that the applicant has sufficient means to cover the medical bills and any other extra costs that may arise.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate is required. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should be provided if the applicant is traveling with one or none of his/her parents.
  • You are not allowed to take up paid or unpaid employment during your visit to the country.
  • Foreigners are expected to leave the country on or before this visa expires.
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee is required.

Japan Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who have been offered employment by an employer in the country.
  • A certificate of employment signed by both the employer and the employee should be provided. The letter should state the terms of the employment and the job the applicant was offered.
  • Before you are offered employment in the Japanese company, there must be no Japanese with the proper qualification to take up the job.
  • Proof that your salary is not below the national minimum wage is required.
  • Foreigners who do not have the qualification that matches the job they have been offered will not be issued this visa.
  • A copy of your Curriculum Vitae or Resume should be provided.
  • Non-Malians applying for this visa should provide a copy of their Malian residence permit.
  • You are expected to leave the country on or before the visa expires.
