Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Italian Visa.


  • An original Mauritanian international passport with a minimum validity of 6 months from the date the visa applicant intends leaving the country. The passport must have two clear pages.
  • Visa application form duly filled and signed by the visa applicant.
  • Two copies of passport-sized photographs (5cmx5cm) taken in a white background.
  • Recent bank account statement with a minimum credit of €1000. The bank statement must cover the last month prior to the visa application.
  • Ticket or booking confirmation of aircraft.
  • Confirmed hotel reservation.
  • Travel insurance with a certified insurance company. The insurance must have sufficient coverage for medical insurance.
  • Cover letter written by the applicant.
