Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Egyptian Visa.

  • A passport with six months validity and at least two unused pages for visa stamping
  • Application form completely filled,signed and dated
  • Copy of salary slips or pay check for the past three months

  • Round trip flight ticket
  • An itinerary of the trip
  • For self employed applicants, include a copy of your business registration license and copy of bank statement for the past 6 months
  • Students should submit a letter of approval from authorities of their school

    • The letter should state the duration of the stay, purpose of the visit and that you would be returning to your job after your stay

Egypt Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Mauritians traveling to Egypt with the aim of sight-seeing, relaxing and visitations are eligible for this visa
  • You can attend events, festivals and ceremonies in Egypt with this visa
  • This visa is valid for 90 days and can be a single-entry or multiple-entry visa
  • It takes 5-10 days for the visa application to be processed
  • If you will be staying with a friend or relative, an invitation letter from your host is required. The letter should carry information such as your host’s address and contact details
  • A copy of your recent bank statement, paycheck or salary slip is required as proof of sufficient funds for the trip
  • Employed applicants are required to submit a letter from their current employer stating that the employer is aware of the trip and that the applicant will return to Mauritius at the expiration of the visa
  • Retired applicants should submit a proof of their retirement such as a recent pension statement
  • Minors traveling with their parents are required to have a copy of their original birth certificate and a letter of authorization signed by both parents or legal guardian
  • Proof of an accommodation reservation that will be valid for the duration of the trip is required
  • While in Egypt, you are not allowed to engage in any profit-making venture or study
  • Overstaying your visa is illegal. It is however possible to extend your visa if you need more stay time.

Egypt Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Business visa as the name suggests is issued for the purpose of carrying out business transactions
  • Individuals who want to sign business contracts, settle an estate, hire and employ staff or explore business opportunities are eligible for this visa
  • You can not manage a company in Egypt as a Business visa holder
  • Conferences and seminars can also be attended by holders of this visa however, a proof of pre-registration for the conference or seminar is required
  • This visa is both single-entry which permits just one entry and exit and multiple-entry which permits numerous entry and exit within the visa validity period.
  • A cover letter from the inviting company in Egypt is required. The letter should specify the exact purpose of the trip and the duration of the trip
  • If the inviting company will sponsor the trip then it should also be stated in the letter
  • The inviting company has to be a registered company in Egypt which meets all the Egyptian government requirements
  • If there is proof of previous business dealings between both parties, it should be provided during the application
  • Individuals who own their businesses in Mauritius should submit a copy of their business registration certificate and tax clearance for the past 6 months
  • A single-entry visa costs $40 and is valid for 90 days while the multiple-entry costs $55 and is equally valid for 90 days
  • It is possible to apply for a visa extension if your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date in Egypt
  • You cannot be gainfully employed in Egypt with this visa
  • Overstaying your visa attracts a fine of 1505 EGP for each day you overstay.
