Basic Travel Requirements for Mauritians visiting Ireland

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Irish Visa.


  • A fully completed and signed application form. 
  • An original, signed Mauritius  passport with at least six months validity is required.  
  • If your are a new passport holder, you will have to provide previous passport showing details of visas issued in other countries and your travel history.
  • Two passports including  a passport style photo, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months is needed when you are applying for an Ireland Visa. 
  •  copy of your Green Card (both sides) to prove your status.  
  • Copy of an itinerary or flight reservation from an airline or travel agent is mandatory.
  • Copies of bank statements from the past 6 months are required. 
  •   Copy of a letter from your employer 
  • For students, you will need to  submit an official letter from your school. 
  • If you are retired, then you will be requested to submit a proof of your retirement fund. 
  • A copy of hotel reservation is required.
  • A personal invitation letter is expected from you  if you have been invited by a friend or family.  
  • A copy of  sponsor's bank statement.

It is estimated that this number is going to be on the rise for years to come.
