Basic Travel Requirements for Mauritians visiting Kuwait

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Kuwaiti Visa.

  • A duly completed Kuwait application form 
  •  Blank passport pages are required, generally one or two pages. 
  • An original passport valid for a minimum of six months after entry.
  • A four photo passports (40mm x 60mm) which meets the Kuwait embassy guidelines.

Kuwait Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Tourist visa is for Mauritians visiting Kuwait for tourism purposes. 
  • The Kuwait tourist visa can be applied both traditionally and on online.
  • The Kuwait tourist e-visa is an electronic visa application for intending travelers.   
  • The e-visa  is not available for Mauritians only  citizens from US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and EU countries can apply for a Kuwait visa electronically.   
  •  As a Mauritian, to obtain a Kuwait Visa, you have to visit the nearest embassy or consulate.  
  • Mauritians are expected to travel with a passport with at least six months validity from the planned date of entry. 
  • All Mauritian travelers will need a valid passport with two blank pages for a Kuwait visa to be issued. For when you have applied for a passport renewal or a new passport, the old passport has to be attached  to the new one.    
  • Visitors are expected to always be with a copy of their passport during their stay. 
  • A Kuwait visit  visa has to be sponsored by a Kuwait  company, or by a relative who is a resident foreigner in Kuwait. Before  a visitor's entry, he/she can have his/her visa processed and passport stamped at their nearest embassy. 
  • It takes about two working days to obtain Kuwait visit visa.  
  • Mauritians visiting Kuwait are not allowed to work with a visit visa. 
  •  Applicants would be denied entry if their passports are not valid up to six months.
  •  If your visit is sponsored, then the sponsor has to fax a copy of the visitor’s passport  to obtain a visa in Kuwait.

  • The Kuwait multiple entry allows a Mauritian to gain entry as many times as possible within a one-year period. 

Kuwait Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Kuwait work visa is for applicants who have been employed by a Kuwait company.
  • The Kuwait visa is a sub type of a residence visa, which offers  a Mauritian Kuwait citizenship.  
  •  Kuwait work visa is offered to public and private employees in Kuwait.  
  • The Kuwait employer must act as a sponsor for  the new employee and apply for a work visa on his/her behalf at the Ministry of social affairs and Labor. 
  • In cases where the sponsor or employee lives in a country without a Kuwait embassy,  the work permit has to  be submitted to  NOC and  the Ministry of the Interior to get an entry visa.
  • The employee has to submit  his passport and  obtain a no-objection certificate(NOC) from the General Administration of Criminal Investigation at the Ministry of Interior before the approval of the visa application. 
  • For when an employee is on a visit Kuwait visa  and  gains  employment,he expected to leave Kuwait and return back on a new entry visa.
  • On arrival, the applicant has to undergo a medical checkup.To verify the health status of the applicant before entry is granted.    
  • The  validity  of a  work visa depends on the contract the employee has with the company. For when you don't have a contract, it will be an open agreement where the company renews your visa every two years or annually. 
  • A Mauritian applicant who has lived in Kuwait for a substantial period of time can sponsor his/her own work visa  as long as they can demonstrate the  financial capacity to support themselves. 

Kuwait Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A Kuwait visit business visa is required for Mauritians who intend to travel for the purpose of business. 
  • The purpose of visit must be for attending business meetings, conferences and signing contracts
  • A sponsorship is required for Mauritians who wish to apply for a Kuwait business visa.
  • The Kuwait application form has to be fully completed  and  faxed by sponsor to the applicant. Then the applicant submits it to the embassy. 
  •   The sponsor's signatory which registered for business purpose is required for the visa application process. 
  • If you wish to apply for a Kuwait business visa, you are expected to submit a business introduction letter. 
  • A copy of the sponsor's letter invitation to the business stating the purpose of visit is required. 
  • Visitors under this type of visit are not allowed to take up any paid or unpaid employment, aside the purpose of visit. 
  • Hotels can arrange for a business visit visa for intended visitors. The process usually  takes about seven days. 
  •  The Kuwait multiple visa type allows for its holders to enter Kuwait as many times as possible.
