Basic Travel Requirements for Mauritians visiting Mali

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Malian Visa.


  •  Copy of yellow fever vaccination certificate
  • Application form should be filled, signed and stamped.
  • Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after staying in Mali
  • Passport must have 2 blank visa pages.
  • Travel itinerary showing entry and exit dates from the country.
  • Two recent (2cm by 2cm) passport photograph with a plain background and must be taken within the last 6 months.
  • For minors traveling alone, the application form must be signed by the parents/legal guardians. 
  • A birth certificate is required for minors and the ID of the parents.
  • National ID or residence permit to prove residence in Mali.
  • A letter stating purpose, duration and any other necessary information about the trip.
  • Letter of invitation from the host in Mali.
  • Hotel reservation and confirmation stating the duration of stay in Mali.
