Basic Travel Requirements for Mauritians visiting Mexico

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Mexican Visa.

  • Original valid Mauritius passport that is valid for 6 months after leaving Mexico
  • Passport should have at least one blank page for entry stamp 
  • An application form that is signed and correctly filled.
  • One recent passport photograph that the Mexican visa application requirements.
  • Certificate of cholera and yellow fever vaccination.
  • Return and onward ticket.
  • Travel itinerary indicating destinations, duration, and purpose of travel.
  • If the applicant is minor then the parents/legal guardians will have to sign the visa application form.
  • Police report stating that the applicant does not have any criminal record.

Foreigners visiting Mexico will not be allowed entry into or exit from Mexico with more than $10,000 or its equivalent in any currency. Punishment for drug-related crimes are very severe and those who are caught engaging in any of these offenses will be jailed for a long period of time.

Mexico Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants of this visa are business-oriented people whose purpose in the country is to engage in business activities.
  • Business activities which are permitted with this visa include; business meetings with partners, signing and negotiation of business contracts.
  • With this visa, you can also attend business summits, conferences and trade fairs.
  •  Invitation letter written on the company’s letterhead should be provided. 
  • This letter should include the corporate name and address of the company, the purpose, and duration of the visit in the country.
  • Certificate of business registration of the company should also be provided.
  • This visa is valid for 180 days.
  • Identification card of the host is required.
  • Original valid Mauritius passport that is valid for 6 months after leaving Mexico
  • Passport should have at least one blank page for entry stamp 
  • An application form that is signed and correctly filled.

  • This visa is meant for applicants who plan to study in any of Mexico's institution 
  • Original valid Mauritius passport that is valid for 6 months after leaving Mexico
  • Passport should have at least one blank page for entry stamp 
  • Travel itinerary indicating destinations, duration, and purpose of travel.
  • Bank statements showing proof that applicant can afford to spend $300 monthly.
  • Maximum stay of 180 days and is usually processed in two days.
  • Applicants must have been accepted in one of the registered schools in Mexico before applying.
  • Original acceptance letter detailing the name and valid contact of the institution is required. 
  • Applicants should provide an original copy of their birth certificate.
  • With this visa, you can stay in Mexico for as long as you are studying.

Mexico Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants of this visa intend transiting through Mexico to their destination country.
  • Original valid Mauritius passport that is valid for 6 months after leaving Mexico
  • Passport should have at least one blank page for entry stamp.
  • an application form that is signed and correctly filled.
  • One recent passport photograph with a white background.
  • This visa allows foreigners to make short stays in the country.
  • Visa and flight ticket of your destination country should be provided
  • maximum stay is for 5 days and the applicant is required to leave the country before its expiration.
