Basic Travel Requirements for Mozambicans visiting Norway

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Norwegian Visa.


  • A Mozambican passport valid for at least 3 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
  • Duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
  • passport-sized photographs (35mm x 45mm) taken against a light background.
  • Travel document.
  • Proof of sufficient financial means during the intended period of stay.
  • Proof of civil status (marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, ration card if applicable).
  • Proof of accommodation.
  • A copy of your return-ticket reservation.
  • Documentation showing applicant’s ties to the home country, e.g. verification from applicant’s employer.
  • Medical Insurance to cover the duration of the entire stay. 
  • A cover letter stating the purpose of visit to Norway and itinerary.
  • Travel Insurance confirmation of minimum  €30,000 coverage within Norway and the entire Schengen area.
