- A Myanmar passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
- Duly completed and signed visa application form.
- If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
- Passport-size photographs (2' x 2' ) taken in white background.

Visa type details
Tourist visa
- Myanmars traveling to Cyprus for tourism and visitation purposes are required to apply for a Cyprus tourist visa.
- The Cyprus tourist visa is valid for 90 days.
- Cyprus is a member of the European Union but is not a party to the Schengen Agreement, so you don't need a Schengen visa to travel to Cyprus.
- Applicants are required to provide sufficient proof of funds and a return plane ticket.
- Enter and exit the Republic of Cyprus ONLY at Larnaca and Paphos airports and at the seaports of Limassol, Larnaca, and Paphos. The Republic of Cyprus does not consider entry at Ercan Airport in the north to be a “legal” entrance into Cyprus.
- Visitors are advised to never attempt to enter the United Nations buffer zone at any place other than a designated crossing point.
- Never photograph military installations or anything that could be perceived as being of a security interest. Pay particular attention to areas marked with “no photography” signs. Police on both sides of the island strictly enforce these restrictions.
- Applicants should make sure their health insurance plan provides coverage overseas.
- If traveling with prescription medication, check with the Republic of Cyprus to ensure the medication is legal in Cyprus.
- Always carry your prescription medication in original packaging with your doctor’s prescription. You should also confirm with authorities in the area administered by Turkish Cypriots to ensure any medication you are carrying will not present problems.
- There are few public buses and no rail lines in Cyprus. Taxis are widely available.
Business visa
- The Cyprus business visa is issued to Myanmars business travelers who have the intention of visiting Cyprus to engage in various business activities.
- Foreigners can negotiate and sign business contracts with their business partners in Cyprus with this visa.
- Applicants who have the intention of attending conferences should pre-register for the conference before visiting the country.
- A letter from your employer in Myanmar stating your job position and the terms of the applicant’s employment contract is required. The duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit should be stated in the letter.
- An official letter of invitation written on the company’s letterhead stating the duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit should be provided. The letter should be signed by an authorized signatory in the company.
- Certificate of Business Registration of the company you are meeting with in Cyprus must be provided.
- If the responsibility of the applicant’s finances will be taken up by the host company or the applicant’s employer, it should be stated in the business letter.
- Proof of the incentive of returning to Myanmar at the expiry of your visa should be submitted.
Student visa
- Myanmars intending to travel to Cyprus for study purposes are allowed to apply for the Cyprus student visa.
- Cyprus higher education system comprises private as well as public institutions of advanced education at both university and non-university levels.
- Students going for undergraduate programs are required to present their original senior school leaving certificate with grade reports while those going for postgraduate programs are to present their Bachelor's or Master's certificate.
- Students are required to submit two set of signed copies of original certificates in both cases.
- You will be required to show proof of your financial capability to ascertain your ability to meet all the financial needs of the program. Your proof of financial status can be through a statement of account showing a minimum balance of £ 7000 or a bank sponsorship letter.
- If the student is applying for a scholarship, financial documentation from the sponsor as well as the scholarship certificate granted should be presented.
- An original medical certificate must be provided, and it must show the result of the following medical test:
- Tuberculosis.
- HIV.
- Hepatitis B.
- Syphilis.
- Yellow fever.
- Hepatitis C.
- An original police character certificate must be provided.This document is essential as it indicates that the student is a model citizen with no criminal records.
