Italy Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Myanmars traveling to Italy for tourism and visitation purposes can apply for the Italian tourist visa.
- Italy is part of the Schengen consulates so visitors can apply for a Schengen visa.
- This visa is valid for 90 days.
- The currency restriction for entry into and exit out of Italy is 10,000 Euros.
- Travelers are required to provide a travel insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000.
- Proof of travel must also be provided. This should come in the following:
- Round-trip Flight Itinerary- A document that shows you have a reserved flight, to enter and leave Italy. This document should specify flight numbers, dates, and your details.

- Hotel reservation or proof of accommodation must be provided by the traveler.
- Applicants are required to provide a letter of no objection from their employers.
- Bank statements from the previous 3 months must be provided.
- Visitors are required to provide invitation letter with the address and phone number from family member or sponsor.
- A cover letter is required. This is a personal letter in which you explain why you are applying to visit Italy, how long you plan to stay, when will you leave and other details.
- Proof of civil status is required from the applicant. This should come in form a marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, etc.
- Visitors are required to obtain a stamp in their passport upon initial entry into a Schengen country.
- The import of medications into Italy by courier services or by mail is strictly regulated by Italian Customs laws.
- Italian customs clears all incoming shipments of medications, even small amounts for personal use, and will allow them to clear customs only upon presentation from the receiving party of a statement signed by a physician licensed in Italy, certifying:
- That the medication is important to the patient, that they would be put in a life-threatening situation without it.
- That there is no substitute or equivalent medication available on the Italian market.

- If employed, the following documents are required:
- Employment contract.
- Current bank statement of the latest 6 months.
- Leave permission from the employer.
- Income Tax Return (ITR) form.
- If self-employed, the following documents are required:
- A copy of your business license.
- Company bank statement of the latest 6 months.
