Basic Travel Requirements for Namibians visiting Bulgaria

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Bulgarian Visa.


  • Visa application form filled out in detail(block letters) and signed by the applicant.
  • Visa applications for minors must be completely filled and signed by both parents or legal guardians.
  • The original applicant's passport should be signed and valid for 6 months after the intended date of departure from the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
  • The passport must contain at least 2 blank pages for visa purposes and must have been issued within the last 10 years.
  • Visa application form filled out in detail(block letters) and signed by the applicant.
  • Applicants are required to provide a copy of the round trip tickets or confirmed itinerary.
  • Passport photograph 35 cm х 45 cm against light-colored background.
  • Proof of the purpose of the applicant travel such as an invitation from a friend or business partner is required.
  • Medical insurance valid for the whole period of stay in Bulgaria, covering all costs for repatriation and for urgent medical care and emergency hospital treatment for the period of the stay indicated in the visa. 
  • Proof of financial means by submitting copy of the original bank statement.
  • A copy of confirmed hotel booking as proof of accommodation for the whole duration of stay in Bulgaria.
  • Criminal report from the local police department in Namibia stating that the applicant has not been engaged in any criminal activity.
  • For under-aged children travelling without their parents, a copy of their birth certificate and a signed consent note fro both parents is required.
  • Visa application forms are submitted not earlier than 3 months before the date of the intended travel, personally.
