Basic Travel Requirements for Namibians visiting Congo
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Congolese Visa.
- Signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, with at least one blank passport page available for Congo visa stamps.
- Two signed Republic of Congo visa application forms. fill out the application forms included in your Visa Application Kit.
- Two recent 2 x 2 passport type photographs in colour, front view and with a plain/white background.
- Bank statement which is not older than 3 months from the period of entry to the country showing the steady and continuous flow of income.
- Valid travel insurance.
- Proof of accommodation for the duration of your stay in the country.
- Return and onward ticket.
- Copy of travel itinerary.
- International certificate of vaccination against yellow fever.

Congo Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of expiry of the visa. (A photocopy of the first & the last page of the passport and a copy of visa stamp of D.R. Congo if the applicant has travelled earlier).
- Three visa forms (photocopy allowed).
- Three passport-size photographs, against a white background.
- A Cover letter from the Applicant and the Leave letter from the Employer.
- An original sponsorship letter issued by the person based in D.R. Congo legalized either by the Service of the General Direction of Immigration, the Congolese Notary or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the D.R. Congo.
- Confirmed onward/return air ticket.
- Yellow Fever Certificate. A Yellow fever vaccination certificate is valid for 10 years, beginning 10 days after vaccination. Vaccination shot to be taken accordingly.
- Return air ticket.
- Bank statements for the last six months.
Congo Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is for those who intend to visit Congo for the purpose of facilitating business deals.
- Holders of this visa can attend business meetings, conferences and sign business contracts but they are not allowed to take up any paid work during their time in the country.
- You will need to present a letter of invitation from the company you are having business within the country. The address of the company should be detailed in the letter.
- The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least six months from the date of expiry of the visa.
- A Cover letter from the Employer.
- Yellow Fever Certificate.
- The processing for Congo business visa is 10 working days.
- If you are a minor, an original copy of your birth certificate should be provided.
- If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided.
- If you are self-employed, you should submit proof of business certification such as the Business License and the company's certified bank account statements for the last three months.
