When is the best time to visit Israel?
Depending on what is good for you, do you prefer to melt or get swamped by Jewish holiday travelers? The summer months are stuffing hot, especially in the center of the country, whereas April and September/October can be very busy (prices in the tourist industry are matched accordingly).
Do they celebrate new year in Israel?
Yes – twice in recent times you can definitely find some great parties happening on New Year's Eve, just be aware that it’s largely known as Sylvester for some strange reason. And then there is also the Jewish New Year, which is a big holiday in Israel, and usually happens around September/October, according to the Jewish calendar.
Do they speak English in Israel?
Yes, If you are in the big cities, it will be hard to find someone who doesn’t speak some decent English, though maybe with a heavy accent. In the smaller towns, it could be a little more difficult, but there is usually someone around who can help out.
What is the currency of Israel?
The Israeli Shekel is the currency of Israel. The currency code for New Shekels is ILS.
