Saudi Arabia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Saudi Arabia tourist visa is issued to foreign citizens who intend to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for vacation or hajj.
  • Tourist visas are granted only to selected groups on a limited basis.
  • The passport used in your application must be original and valid for at least six months beyond your stay in Saudi Arabia.
  • Alongside a fully completed and signed tourist visa application form, travelers are also required to present a return ticket to their country of origin.
  • Women traveling alone are not allowed to enter the country unless they will be met at the airport by a husband, a sponsor or a male relative.
  • Muslim female passengers under the age of 45 arriving to perform Umrah or Hajj must also be accompanied by an immediate male family member that is 18 years of age or older.
  • Proof of accommodation for the entire duration of stay is required.
  • Proof of medical insurance that covers the entire duration of stay is also needed.
  • A visa for Saudi Arabia does not give the absolute right to enter the country -- it is only an authorization. Whether or not the visa holder will be allowed to enter the country depends on the final decision of an immigration official.
  • According to Saudi Arabia's law and tradition, entry may be refused to any visitor judged as behaving indecently.
  • You should also note that a visa can be revoked at any time.
  • Only travelers who have booked through an authorized tour operator are eligible for tourist visas.
  • The visa allows a maximum stay of 30 days for a single stay but can be valid for up to 2 years.
  • Tourists are advised to always respect local traditions, customs, and laws of Saudi Arabia.
  • The importation of pork to Saudi Arabia is forbidden.
  • Hajj visa applications are encouraged to be done via licensed travel agents only.

Saudi Arabia Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants must submit their current, signed passport. Visas are stamped into a passport, therefore the original passport is required.
  • Passports MUST be signed and MUST contain two back-to-back blank visa pages amendment pages are not considered visa pages to be accepted by the Consulate of Saudi Arabia.
  • Women applying for a business visa to visit Saudi Arabia MUST acquire a pre-approved invitation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The invitation number will begin with 7005. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Applicant must submit a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online booking 
  • If traveling via private charter the charters manifest should suffice.
  • Applicant must submit a signed Declaration Form.
  • Applicant must submit a Business Cover Letter. The BCL must be an original, signed document on company letterhead indicating the date, duration, and purpose of travel, list a contact and address at the host company and observe moral and financial responsibility for the applicant.
  • The BCL must be NOTARIZED
  • Applicant must submit a copy of the inviting companies Saudi Arabia Ministry of Commerce and Industry company registration from.
  • Declaration for Muslim Applicants
  • Saudi Arabia requires that members of the Muslim faith declare that they will not use a business visa for the purposes of traveling for Hajj or Umrah.
  • Proof of Meningitis Vaccination
  • If the applicant is visiting Mecca, Medina, or Jeddah or the applicant's sponsor is based out of Mecca, Medina, or Jeddah, proof of a meningitis vaccination will be required. Vaccination exemptions will not be accepted by the consulate. Photocopies of the proof of vaccination are acceptable.
  • Applicant must submit one completed visa application. Applications should be printed single-sided and signed in blue or black ink only.
