Basic Travel Requirements for Namibians visiting Spain

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Spanish Visa.

  • Your Namibian passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond return date – are required.
  • Duly completed visa application form which has been signed and stamped where necessary.
  • Your passport must have at least two blank pages.
  • 2 photos must be attached; the photo should be of passport format – a recent whole-face capture with a light background. 
  • A copy of your return-ticket reservation. It is not recommended to purchase the ticket before obtaining the visa.
  • Spain Travel Insurance confirmation of minimum 30,000€ coverage within Spain and the entire Schengen area.
  • A cover letter stating the purpose of visit to Spain and itinerary. 
  • Flight Reservation with dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Spain.
  • Hotel Booking Reservation for the whole duration of the intended stay in Spain. 
  • Proof of civil status (marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, ration card if applicable).
  • Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Spain.

Spain Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A business visa is needed for individuals who are travelling to Spain to carry out business activities.
  • Invitation letter from the Spanish company you will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied with the dates of your visit.
  • A certificate from your employer stating/allowing your business travel.
  • If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided.
  • Business bank statement of the latest 6 months.
  • Memorandum and Article of Association in original certified copy (registered with joint-stock companies) Trade License (first issued and present renewal), Proprietorship/Partnership documents.
  • This visa permits you to stay for a maximum of 90 days within a 180-day period.
  • Regarding the applicant’s expenses during stay in the Schengen zone, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.
  • Employment certificate, Bank Certificate/Statement.
  • Detailed copy of your travel itinerary.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Invitation Letter in Spanish from the Spanish business partner.
  • You also need to present proof that you have a Spain Travel Insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 to cover for any medical emergencies for the entire duration of your stay in Spain.

Spain Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Tourist visa is issued to individuals who intend to visit Spain for tourism purposes.
  • Invitation letter from your family or friends in Spain with the address and phone number .
  • Photograph:

Spain Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Namibian Students who intend to study in Spain can apply for this type of visa. 
  • Two recent passport photos size with a white background. Staple one photo on each of the application forms.
  • Letter of acceptance as a full-time student from Spain’s University/School indicating the name, address and registration number of the school with Spain’s Department of Education.
  • Full payment of all of the costs of tuition, duration of the program, subjects of the study and hours of study per week, which must be no less than 20.
  • Health Insurance (only the original form will be accepted): International insurance coverage for health/accident with minimum coverage equal to 30,000 EUR during the planning period of stay in Spain (or its equivalency in dollars). 
  • Proof of financial aid or scholarship for at least $1,000 per month for room and board.
  • Notarized letter from your parents or legal guardians assuming full financial responsibility for at least $1,000 per month for room and board.
  • Personal bank account statements showing at least $1,000 per month of stay.
  • An enrollment certificate allowing attendance of courses.
  • Certificate of completion or courses attended.
  • Financial sustenance .
  • Applicant  who is under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided.

Spain Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants of this visa have the intention of boarding a connecting flight from Spain to their destination country 
  • The traveller must be in possession of a valid passport.
  • Copy of your valid visa for your final destination 
  • Holders of this visa are not allowed to work or study while they are in the country.
  • Confirmed onward airline ticket
  • Visa or other type of entry permit in the transit country
  • A child (under 18) who is not traveling with both parents or a legal guardian must be ready to present a notarized parental letter of consent, a notarized copy of their birth certificate and
