Brazil Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Brazil student visa is issued to persons traveling to Brazil to attend regular courses or participate in exchange or internship programs.
  • Holders of this visa are allowed to take up paid legal employment in Brazil as long as it will not affect their schooling.

  • Applicants are to submit a valid international passport which has at least 6 months validity from the date of departure.

  • This visa type is for applicants who wish to travel to Brazil for employment purposes.
  • The applicant is to provide proof of the job contract for the visa application process.
  • The Brazillian work visa is categorized into a temporary and permanent work visa.
  • The temporary work visa is usually issued for a period of 2 years.
  • An extension for another two years should be requested for at least 30 days before the expiration of the visa. 
  • After this four-year period, the holder can apply for a permanent work visa.
