Basic Travel Requirements for Nigerians visiting Spain

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Spanish Visa.

  • Passport with a validity of more than 3 months from the intended period of exiting the country. The passport should have at least two blank pages for the necessary stamp.

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who are traveling to Spain with the intention of sightseeing, recreation, and relaxation.
  • If you have been invited to the country by a friend or relative who holds permanent residence in the country, you can apply for this visa.
  • A letter of invitation from your host in the country should be provided if you are visiting someone in the country.
  • Applicants who are employed are required to provide a letter of employment. The letter must introduce the applicant and state the duration of the applicant’s leave.
  • Non-Nigerians applying for this visa should ensure they are in possession of their residence permit for Nigeria.
  • If you are self-employed, a Certificate of Business Incorporation and Tax Clearance Certificate should be provided.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided. A notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor is required.
  • All the documents to be submitted during the visa application process should be in original and copy.
  • Fake document will result in you being ineligible for this visa.

Spain Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreign nationals who have the intention of engaging in business activities during their time in the country.
  • An official invitation letter from the Italian company should be provided. The letter must be written on the company’s letterhead and must state the duration and the purpose of the visit.
  • A letter from your employer in Nigeria should be provided. The letter should state the applicant’s job position and length of employment.
  • Proof of previous business dealings between the companies involved should be provided, if any.
  • You are not permitted to receive payment for the services you render during your time in the country.
  • Non-Nigerians should ensure they submit the copy of the Nigeria residence permit.
  • Submission of fake or counterfeit document will lead to visa denial.
  • All the documents should be submitted in original and copy.

Spain Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Medical Visa is issued to foreign nationals visiting Spain to seek or receive medical treatment.
  • A medical diagnosis from the medical institution in Nigeria stating the nature of the applicant’s illness and the reason the treatment will be best gotten in the country.
  • A letter from the medical institution in Spain indicating the nature of the applicant’s illness and stating the duration of the treatment.
  • Proof that the applicant has paid up to 30% of the medical fee.
  • Any other correspondence between the doctor in Spain and the local physician should be provided.
  • A sheet containing the applicant’s bio-data, phone number, and active e-mail address is required. This information should be typed and signed by the applicant.

Spain Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreigners who have been accepted into an academic institution in Spain.
  • A letter of acceptance from the institution you have been accepted into should be provided. The letter must be printed on the company’s letterhead and state the course the applicant will be studying.
  • Applicants of this visa should ensure they provide the certificates and transcripts of the previous schools they attended.
  • Foreigners studying in Spain can work part-time when school is in session and part-time when school is on break.
  • Minors applying for this visa should ensure they are in possession of the original copy of their birth certificate.
  • Proof that the applicant can pay the tuition fee and any other extra fee may arise while in the country is required.
  • Non-Nigerians applying for this visa have to submit a copy of the Nigerian residence permit.
  • This visa is valid for the duration of the applicant’s study program.

Spain Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Applicants of this visa are those who have been offered employment by an employer in Spain.
  • A copy of the employment contract signed by both the employer and the employee should be provided.
  • You are expected to submit a copy of your Curriculum Vitae or Resume during the visa application process.
  • Original and photocopy of the Work permit issued by the Italian Immigration Office should be submitted.
  • Non-Nigerians applying for this visa are required to present a copy of their Nigerian residence permit.
  • Proof that there was no Italian willing and qualified to take up the job you were offered is required.

  • This visa is issued to foreign nationals who have the intention of transiting through Spain to their destination country.
  • Applicants of this visa are required to be in possession of visa and other entry permits of the destination country.
  • Flight ticket of the destination country should be provided.
  • Holders of this visa are not permitted to take up paid or unpaid employment.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided.
  • You are not allowed to enroll to study in any of the academic institutions in the country.
  • This visa cannot be extended.
  • You are expected to leave the country on or before this visa expires.

Are foreigners allowed to drive in Spain?
