How to get a Afghanistan visa from Pakistan

• Tourist visas are granted to all foreigners who intend to visit family and friends, or for sight-seeing and recreation activities in Afghanistan.
• Applicants with a tourist visa can also visit natural, tourist and historic sites in Afghanistan.
• One completed and signed the visa application form.
• Two recent passport size photo that is taken with a white background.
• Valid Pakistani passport, for at least 6 months beyond stay in Afghanistan.
• The tourist visa can be extended only once with the consent of the Afghan Tourism Department. Extension of tourist visa lasts for a duration of 30 days.
• Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation is required.
• Applicants are also required to provide a copy of the flight itinerary.
• A letter of introduction stating whom you intend to visit in Afghanistan for applicants visiting family or friends. The letter should also state the financial responsibility of the Applicant.
• The letter should also describe the purpose of the journey, place, with whom the applicant will be residing, and the residence address during the stay in Afghanistan.

• Employer letter from the Sponsoring government or organization in Afghanistan stating the purpose and duration of the trip is required.

• However, they must contact the Section of Diplomatic passport and Diplomatic Visa of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs directly through their mission.

Applicants wishing to extend Afghanistan can apply to the Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul for an extension of their visa. Afghanistan tourist visa can only be extended once, for 1 month.

Applicants with tourist visa are not required to work in Afghanistan. Only foreigners who have entered Afghanistan with a work permit are eligible to work.
