Basic Travel Requirements for Pakistanis visiting Netherlands

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Dutch Visa.

  • An original Pakistan passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond the required stay in the Netherlands.
  • Passport must have 2 blank pages for the Netherlands visa stamp.
  • Duly completed and signed the Netherlands visa application form.
  • The parents or legal guardians have to sign the form if the applicant is a minor.
  • Two passport photographs taken on a white background should be attached to the application form.
  • A valid bank statement showing proof of financial capability is required.
  • Applicants should provide proof of accommodation/hotel reservations in the Netherlands.
  • An original copy of the return flight ticket should be submitted.
  • Documentation showing applicant’s ties to Pakistan such as national ID cards or photocopies of original property certificates should be provided by the applicant.
  • An original police report showing that the applicant does not have any criminal record or has not engaged in any criminal activities in Pakistan.
  • Copy of confirmed travel itinerary showing travel details, entry and exit date from the Netherlands.
  • Medical insurance showing that the applicant has no contagious disease should cover the duration of stay in the Netherlands.
  • Applicants are to provide proof of the paid visa application fee.
  • Applicants must not overstay visa duration or the applicant is likely to be ban from entering the Netherlands.

Netherlands Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The tourist visa is for the sole purpose of leisure travel, including vacationing, sightseeing, visiting family and friends. 
  • Netherlands visa application form should be completely filled and signed.
  • Pakistan passport that is valid for at least 3 months after the date of exit from the Netherlands.
  • The passport must have at least two blank pages for the Netherlands visa.
  • Two identical passport photograph taken against a white background.
  • Bank statements showing proof of sufficient funds for the duration of stay should be provided.
  • Travel itinerary showing entry date, exit date and full details of your trip in the Netherlands.
  • Hotel reservation to show proof of accommodation in the Netherlands.
  • Letter of invitation from a friend, family members or tour organization in the Netherlands should be submitted alongside with host’s ID card or the Netherlands residence permit.
  • Photocopies of entry tickets for tourist activities is required.
  • The letter of invitation must include details of the trip, purpose, and duration of the trip.
  • Letter of invitation must also include the host’s home address and contact information.
  • If the host will be financially responsible for the applicant, it must be stated in the letter of invitation.
  • Holders of a tourist visa must not engage in any business activities or educational activities in the Netherlands.

Netherlands Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The business visa is issued to foreigners travelling to the Netherlands for business purposes such as attending a business meeting, conferences, negotiating and signing contracts.
  • The applicant should provide proof of company registration of the company in the Netherlands by providing a certificate of registration issued by the Government of the Netherlands.
  • A cover letter from the applicant's employer in Pakistan stating the awareness of applicant's trip, duration and reason of travel to the Netherlands are required.
  • The business cover letter should also indicate that the applicant is of good conduct.
  • The cover letter should clearly state who will be financially responsible for the applicant during the stay in the Netherlands and must be signed by a senior employee in the company in Pakistan.
  • The invitation letter must be approved by the chamber of commerce in the Netherlands must be provided.
  • Proof of business dealings by both companies should be provided.
  • Income tax for the last three months must be provided.
  • Confirmation of return ticket must be provided, this is to show that the applicant has the intention of returning back to Pakistan.
  • The business visa is valid for a maximum stay of up to 90 days.
  • Proof of yellow fever vaccination and other communicable diseases should be submitted.
  • Applicants travel itinerary showing travel details and dates of entry and exit from the Netherlands are required.
