Application requirements

Documents Pakistani applicants need to provide.

  • A completely filled and signed Spanish visa application form.
  • A photograph size 32 X 26 mm, with a uniform white and smooth background, taken from the front and without glasses.
  • Pakistan passport valid for at least 3 months beyond return date and copies of previous visas is required.
  • The passport must have at least two blank pages for the visa stamp.
  • A copy of your return-ticket reservation.
  • Spain's travel insurance confirmation of a minimum of €30,000 coverage within Spain.
  • A cover letter stating the purpose of visit to Spain and itinerary.
  • Flight reservation with dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Spain.
  • Hotel booking reservations for the whole duration of the intended stay in Spain.
  • Proof of civil status (marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, ration card if applicable).
  • Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Spain.

Visa type details

Tourist visa

  • Applicants with a tourist visa can visit friends and relatives, go for vacation, relaxation and tourism purposes.
  • Spain visa application form should be duly completed and signed by the applicant.
  • The Pakistan passport should be valid for 90 days from the date of exit.
  • The passport must have 2 empty pages for the Spain visa stamp.
  • One recent passport photograph taking with a white background.
  • Applicants under the age of 18 are required to submit notarized authorization of the parents or of the parent who does not travel with the minor.
  • The original copy of the minor’s birth certificate is required.
  • Applicants are not required to take up a paid job or engage in any business activities with a tourist visa.
  • Valid medical insurance for the duration of stay in Spain.
  • Applicants are expected to leave the country at the expiration of the visa.
  • Applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of €60 for the tourist visa.
  • Invitation letter from a family member or friend or tour organization in Spain containing contact information such as the address and phone number of the host.
  • The invitation letter should indicate the nature of events or activities, the purpose of visit, and expense coverage.
  • Applicants are required to provide a copy of the bank statement for the last 6 months.
  • Photocopies of previous passport copies.
  • Travel itinerary showing the entry and exit date from Spain.

Business visa

  • A business visa is issued to people who want to perform business activities in Spain.
  • Holders of this visa can attend business meetings, conferences, trade fairs, and sign contracts while in the country.
  • The maximum period the holder of this period can stay in Spain is 90 days.
  • Applicants are required to have valid medical insurance for the whole duration of stay in Spain.
  • If the applicant is self-employed, a copy of the business license, company bank statement of the latest 6 months and Income Tax Return (ITR).
  • Invitation letter from the Spanish company the applicant will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied by the dates of the visit is required.
  • A certificate from the applicant's employer stating/allowing the business travel/leave is required.
  • If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided
  • The business bank statement of the latest 6 months is to be submitted by the applicant.
  • Regarding the applicant’s expenses during stay in Spain, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.

Medical visa

  • A visa for applicants who wish to receive medical care in Spain.
  • A dully completed application form with one picture (within a white background).
  • Passports should have a validity of at least one year from the date of your visa application submission.
  • Medical certificate stating the type of illness and the treatment to be carried out. This document has to be in English or Spanish language.
  • Letter from the hospital in Spain stating the appointment date and whether the treatment expenses have been already paid in full.
  • Proof of financial means which enable the applicant to meet life needs while in Spain (salary certificate if working, bank statement for the last six months, property deeds, or commercial license.). 6.-
  • A copy of valid travel insurance.
  • Proof of accommodation, hotel reservation, for the whole duration of stay is required.
