Basic Travel Requirements for Filipinos visiting Denmark

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Danish Visa.

  • An International passport valid at least 6 months from the intended arrival date.
  • The passport must have 2 blank pages for the visa stamp.

Denmark Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This business visa is for foreign nationals who are visiting Denmark to carry out business activities.
  • During your time in the country, you can meet up with business partners to negotiate and sign contracts.
  • Trade fairs, conferences, and business summits can be attended by holders of this visa.
  • A letter of invitation from the company you are meeting up with should be provided. 
  • The purpose and duration of your visit should be stated in the letter.
  • If the company you are meeting with will be responsible for your expenses while you are in the country, it should be stated in the letter.
  • Your employer should provide a letter stating that he/she is aware of your business leave.
  • The purpose of your visit to the country, the duration, and the purpose of your visit should be clearly stated.
  • Proof of prior business dealings between you and the company should be provided if there have been any.
  • The original certified copy of their memorandum and article of association certificate, trade license, proprietorship/partnership document should be submitted.
  • A certificate of business registration of your business partner in Denmark is required.
  • For private business owners, a copy of their Income Tax Return(ITR) form or certificate of income tax deducted from salary should be submitted.
  • Holders of this visa cannot be paid for the services they render while they are in the country.
  • Applicants are to submit approved health insurance that covers their duration of stay or its equivalent of 30,000 euros.
  • Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation that covers the applicant's duration of stay should be submitted.
  • Holders of this visa are not permitted to seek public funds or work with a business visa.
  • To work in Denmark, you must have a Denmark work visa and a work permit that allows foreign nationals to work in the country.
  • Receipt of paid visa application fees is required
  • You are expected to exit the country at the expiration of your visa.
  • All applicants are to appear in person for the submission of their visa application.
  • Only documents that are in English or Danish will be accepted.

Denmark Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa type is for visa applicants who wish to travel to Denmark to study in an academic institution.
  • The study visa permits its holder to remain in Denmark for a duration of 3 months.
  • Before you apply for the student visa, you must have received an admission offer to study in Denmark from a Danish educational institution.
  • If an applicant's study would exceed 3 months, the applicant should apply for a long-stay study visa.
  • Applicants are to submit a valid passport with a validity of not less than 6 months from the proposed date of travel.
  • A copy of the passport's biometric data should be submitted.
  • Applicants are to submit their previous passports together with the current one if any.
  • You must have been accepted to study in one of the institutions in the country before this visa is issued to you.
  • A letter of acceptance written with the official letterhead of the school you have been accepted into is required.
  • Certificates and transcripts from previously attended schools should be provided.
  • A copy of your stay permit in Philippines should be provided for non-citizens.
  • Foreign students may work in Denmark part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.
  • Proof of academic qualification for the intended course of study should be submitted by the applicant.
  • Proof of financial sufficiency that covers applicants' duration of stay must be provided in order to travel to Denmark to study.
  • Proof of part or full payment of tuition fee should be submitted.
  • This visa may be extended to cover the period of your study.
  • Proof of accommodation in the form of a dormitory contract or rental agreement should be submitted.
  • If you are a minor traveling without your parents, a letter of consent signed by both your parents should be provided. 
  • Also, an unabridged original copy of your birth certificate is required.
  • Receipt of paid visa application form is required.
  • To study in Denmark, you must provide proof of some proficiency in the Danish language.

Denmark Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Persons who want to travel to Denmark for tourism, sightseeing, relaxation, and recreational purposes are eligible to apply for this tourist visa.
  • The tourist visa is the same as the visitor visa. Persons intending to visit friends and relatives in the country can do so using this visa.
  • Since Denmark is one of the Schengen countries, the Danish tourist visa allows its holder to visit other countries in the Schengen Area.
  • Foreigners traveling to the country to visit friends and relatives should ensure that they have a letter of invitation from the host. The home address and telephone number of the host should be clearly stated in the letter of invitation.
  • Events and festivals can be attended by holders of this visa.
  • If you are employed, a letter from your employer stating allowance and awareness of your leave is to be submitted. 
  • The purpose of your visit and the duration of your stay in the country should be stated in the letter.
  • Applicants are to submit their passport which must have a validity of at least six months from the proposed date of travel. 
  • Copies of previous visas should also be submitted.
  • A travel health insurance that covers the applicant's duration of stay should be submitted with a minimum of 30,000 euros.
  • Applicants are to provide their travel itinerary with dates and flight numbers specifying the entry and exit of the applicant from Denmark.
  • Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicant's duration of stay should be submitted. 
  • The standard for all foreigners is 350 DKK per day for the duration of their stay.
  • Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation should be submitted.
  • For those retired, a document proving pension or other financial support is required.
  • Children under the age of 18 years should ensure that they have the original copy of their birth certificate. 
  • If they are traveling without their parents, a document of consent signed by both parents should be made available.
  • Proof that you have the incentive of returning to Philippines at the expiration of your visa should be submitted.
  • Proof of payment of visa application fees should be provided.
  • During your time in the country, you are not allowed to seek public funds or work in Denmark.
  • You are expected to leave Denmark on or before the expiration of this visa.
  • Overstaying the duration of your visa or attempting to use this visa to obtain a long-term residence will result in you being handed a penalty period of between 3 - 5 years.
  • The documents provided should either be in English or Danish.
