Basic Travel Requirements for Filipinos visiting Egypt

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Egyptian Visa.


  • A completely filled and signed Egyptian visa application form.
  • Passport photographs not older than 6 months.
  • Original passport or travel documents.
  • The passport must have at least 6 months validity from the date of travel.
  • The visa must have at least 2 visa pages clear of any markings for the visa stamp.
  • Travel itinerary (travel reservation to and from Egypt in the applicant's name).
  • Flight reservations to Egypt and return ticket.
  • A letter from the applicant's employer granting leave.
  • Current bank statement of the applicant or their sponsor for the last 6 months.

Can I extend my visa while I'm in Egypt?

Yes, visas can be extended at various government offices in Cairo and elsewhere in the country. Egyptian immigration also allows a two-week grace period after your original visa expires. Providing you apply for an extension within the two week grace period, you won’t be subjected to any fines or penalties.
