Basic Travel Requirements for Filipinos visiting Germany

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a German Visa.


  • A completed and signed visa application form.
  • Two passport photos taken on a white background.
  • Copies of your passport and previous visas are required.
  • A copy of your return ticket reservation.
  • Travel medical visa insurance with a minimum of 30,000 euro coverage within Germany and the entire Schengen area.
  • A cover letter stating your purpose to Germany.
  • Proof of accommodation for the whole duration of the trip. 
  • Proof of civil status(marriage certificate, birth certificate of your children or death certificate of your spouse).
  • Means of subsistence for the duration of stay.
  • Employment contract.
  • Bank statement of 6 months showing salary received from employer and income tax return(ITR) form.
  • Business license for self-employed applicants.
  • A letter of agreement from your school and proof of enrollment.
  • Pension statement of at least 6 months if applicable.
  • The visa fee is 60 Euro. For children between age 6 and 12, the visa fee is 35 Euro and is free for children ages 0 - 6
