Netherlands Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa allows the Philippines to travel to Netherland for medical treatment in a Schengen medical institution.
- A letter to the Medical Advice Bureau in the Netherlands is needed. This letter must include the nature of the illness.
- You can only stay in the Schengen area (and receive the treatment) for up to 90 days with the Schengen medical treatment visa.
- A letter from your doctor/medical institution in the Philippines confirming that you need medical treatment in a Schengen country. The letter must also state your medical history and the medical treatment you will receive in the specific Schengen country.
- Official document of acceptance from the Schengen medical institution confirming they can provide you with the medical treatment you need.
- Applicants coming to the Netherlands for medical treatment must apply for a residence permit.
- Proof of accommodation in said Schengen medical institution.
- Proof of payment for medical treatment.
- If the ministry of health in your home country will cover the costs of your treatment, they must write an official letter declaring such intent.
- Proof the patient can cope with any additional medical costs that may come up.
- Proof of correspondence between the doctor in your home country and the one in the Schengen area.
- If you are employed, a letter from your employer is required. Your employer should state in the letter that he is aware of your leave. Your position and how long you have been employed in the company should be clearly stated.

Netherlands Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to the Philippines traveling who have the intention of studying in a school in the Netherlands.
- Student visa applicants are required to undergo a medical test for tuberculosis within three months of arriving in the Netherlands or your visa or residence permit will be taken away.
- Filipino students will need to take a medical test before arriving in the Netherlands.
- Filipino students will need to set up a Restricted Bank Account. This type of bank account restricts the amount of money you can withdraw every month, and only allows you to access it when you arrive in the Netherlands.
- Applicants of this visa should apply for a provisional residence visa also known as the MVV visa. Afterward, the host institution will then apply for a full residence permit on the traveler's behalf.
- To apply for an MVV visa, you will need a valid passport and at least one passport page photocopy.
- When you apply for your visa, one of the most important things you need to prove is that you can support yourself during your study program. For the Netherlands, they require you to prove that you have available 868 EUR/month either from an external source or already in your bank account.
