Application requirements
Documents Qatari applicants need to provide.
- The Belgian application form must be completely filled in, signed by the applicant.
- The current Qatar address, local contact number, and email address should be provided.
- For children under 18 years, the application form must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
- One recent passport photograph taken within the last 6 months.
- The original passport should be valid for at least three months after the date of return from Belgium.
- The passport must have been issued within the last 10 years, must be in good shape and have at least 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
- The applicant needs to provide a photocopy of the identity page of the passport.
- Qatar Residence permits are required from applicants who are non-citizens of Qatar.
- Applicants are required to provide a copy of previous Belgian visas with entry and exit stamps from the last 3 years.
- Bank statements of the last 3 months showing proof of sufficient financial means
- The bank statements should be stamped and signed by the applicant's bank.
- Traveler cheques, proof of purchase of foreign currencies, or credit card covering the cost of the stay is the bank statement is not available.
- Flight ticket reservation is required.
- Travel insurance certificate with a minimum coverage of € 30,000. showing coverage of the costs of urgent medical attention and/or emergency hospital treatment.
- For minors, letter of consent signed by both parents, copies of the parent’s passports or identity cards where their signature appears is required.
- For students, a letter from the school or university confirming their status as a student and that their absence is permitted is required.
- The documents presented must be recent originals, plus one (1) photocopy of each of the documents.
- Official foreign documents must be legalized or bear an apostille unless a treaty provides for the exemption of the legalization process.
- If the documents are not in French, Dutch, German or English, the documents must be translated into one of these languages by a certified translator.

Tourist visa
- Application form should be fully filled in, signed and dated by the applicant.
- For children under 18 years, the application form signed by a person with parental authority or by a legal guardian.
- One recent passport photograph taken within the last 6 months.
- The original passport should be valid for at least three months after the date of the expiry of the visa.
- The passport must have at least 2 blank pages facing each other.
- The applicant needs to provide a photocopy of the identity page of the passport.
- Qatar Residence permits are required from applicants who are non-citizens of Qatar.
- Applicants are required to provide a copy previous Belgian visas with entry and exit stamps from the last 3 years.
- Bank statements of the last 3 months showing proof of sufficient financial means
- The bank statements should be stamped and signed by the applicant's bank.
- Flight ticket reservation is required.
- Hotel Reservation/Invitee Letter showing proof of accommodation in Belgium.
- The invitation letter should include the full names of the inviting party, home address of the inviting party and the dates of the applicant’s stay at the inviting party’s home address.
- Travel insurance certificate showing overage of the cost of repatriation for medical reasons.
- For minors (under the age of 18), letter of consent signed by both parents, copies of the parent’s passports or identity cards where their signature appears is required.
Business visa
- Application form duly completed and signed by the applicant.
- One recent passport size photograph taken against a white background is required.
- The original passport must be valid for at least three months beyond stay in Belgium.
- The passport must have at least 2 free pages for the Belgium visa stamp.
- Letter from an employer and /or a sponsor indicating the employer’s name and signature, including the applicant’s position, the applicant’s salary, and allowances and to what extent the employer will cover the cost of the planned journey and stay
- The letter must also indicate the awareness of the applicant's business leave and that the applicant will resume his /her duties upon return to Qatar.
- Original letter of invitation from a Belgian company or a company based in Belgium indicating the purpose and dates of the planned stay, and the nature of the business relationship between the inviting company and the applicant or the applicant’s company.
- Applicants are required to provide original bank statements covering a period of at least three (3) months.
- In case the Employer/Host company will cover the costs of travel, it should be clearly stated in the letter.
Medical visa
- The visa application form must be duly completed and signed.
- One recent passport size photograph
- Original passport with a validity of three months after date of exit from Belgium.
- The passport must have at least 2 blank pages for Belgium visa stamp.
- Qatar residence permit is required from non-nationals of Qatar.
- Medical letter from Belgium stating the duration and purpose of treatment along with the applicant details.
- Medical attestation stating the applicant is need of medical treatment and it is nonmedical treatment available in Qatar.
- Flight ticket reservation is required.
- Hotel Reservation/Letter with precise name and address, from the person who is going to accommodate applicant (this person may be different from the sponsor.
- A copy of a valid travel insurance certificate is required.
