Basic Travel Requirements for Rwandans visiting Ireland

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Irish Visa.


  • An application form that is fully completed and signed.
  • No question in the application form should be left unanswered.
  • Nobody can sign an application form on behalf of the applicant, except the applicant is a minor.
  • A passport that is valid for at least 6 months after the intended stay.
  • Two 38 mm (width) x 45-50 mm (height) passport photograph with a white or light grey background is required.
  • Passport photographs should be taken within the last 6 months.
  • For children under the age of 18 traveling alone, birth certificate and consent note signed by both parents is required.
  • All documents submitted must be in the English Language.
  • All visa applicants should provide a bank statement showing evidence of sufficient funds that they can support themselves for the duration of their stay in Ireland.
  • Original copy and 2 photocopies of PPC, Police Clearance Certificate should be attached to the applicant’s passport.
  • Travel itinerary showing entry and exit date from Ireland.
