How to get a Moldova visa from Rwanda

• This is referred to as the Type-C visa and is issued to those who want to travel to Moldova for tourism, business, visit or other short-term activities.
• The Type “C” Visa is issued for a fixed time not exceeding 90 days per period of six months from the first entry.
• People intending to take this visa can apply for a Moldova e-Visa.
• Travelers must have their passport with at least 6-months of validity from the date of arrival and have at least one (1) page available for stamping.
• Holders of this visa are prohibited from engaging in business or work activities in the Republic of Moldova.
• Note that the possession of a visa for Moldova does not provide an automatic right of entry for the holder into the country.
• The immigration officer at the port of entry may refuse entry to any person if they consider that such a person is unable to fulfill the immigration requirements.

• This visa is issued to those who have intentions to stay in Moldava for a long time as foreigners.
• People who apply for this visa do so for purposes such as study, work, research or any other long term activity.
• Rwandan citizens who intend to undertake scientific or academic activity in Moldova must apply for an entry visa and a temporary residence permit in Moldova.
• Visa is granted by the Diplomatic Missions and Consular Offices of the Republic of Moldova.
• The Long-stay visa is issued in line with the purpose of entry into Moldava and the visas are also labeled according to the purpose.
• The Type D Visa also allows the right to submit a permanent residence permit and it is a multiple-entry visa. This is allowed after the first entry into Moldava.
• To obtain a temporary visa for employment purposes, you will need to secure a job offer from a Moldovan company or government department or a foreign company based in Moldova.
• The criteria for approval of an employment visa include:
• Suitable educational qualifications or work experience.
• A secured employment contract in Moldova.
• Proof of adequate means of subsistence in Moldova
• Police confirmation that you have no criminal record
• A satisfactory medical examination.
• This visa is also issued for those who want to partake in entrepreneurial activities.

• This visa is issued to people who want to go through Moldova to another country.
• There are two types of transit visa: Type-A and Type-B transit visa.
• The Type-A visa is the Airport Transit Visa that is valid for only 24 hours.
• The Type-B visa is a transit visa that is valid for not more than 5 days.
• The Type-A visa allows applicants to stay in the international zone of Moldova until they are connected to their flight.
• Holders of the transit visa are not permitted to enter the country.
• The Type-B visa allows applicants to stay in Moldova for a few days before they connect to their destination country.
• Travelers on this visa are not allowed to stay beyond the validity period or do activities peculiar to other visa types in Moldava.

Typically, a visa takes anywhere from 2 days to 15 days to process in the Moldova Embassy/Consulate depending on the consulate that we need to send the application to and whether you choose to "rush" your Moldova visa.

You must apply for a residence permit at the Bureau of Migration and Asylum, 124 Stefan cel Mare Street, Chisinau. This should be done before your 90-days stay expires.

The nonresident’s employee must contribute to the social and health security the same percentage as residence employee. To qualify as a taxable resident, individuals should be domiciled in the Republic of Moldova and must have lived 183 days or more in the Republic of Moldova during one fiscal year.

Foreign citizens working in Moldova who have a permanent residency in the country must pay social security contributions. If permanent residency in the country is not established, then it is not compulsory to pay social security contributions.

Moldova is not yet a member of the European Union but our Government undertakes all necessary steps so that the Republic of Moldova becomes a Member State soon.
