Basic Travel Requirements for Rwandans visiting Monaco
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Monegasque Visa.
- A properly filled and signed visa application form.
- An original passport valid for at least 6 months after the intended stay in Monaco.
- Two identical photographs in a white background with size 40mm x 30mm.
- An original bank statement and other documents that prove financial stability.
- Travel itinerary for the duration of the visit to Monaco.
- Confirmed flight reservation with dates of entry and exit from Monaco.
- Proof of financial capability for the duration of stay.
- A hotel reservation or accommodation proof.
- Proof of civil status (marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, ration card if applicable).

Monaco Short-stay Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Short-stay “Type-C” Schengen visa is issued to travelers who intend to visit Monaco for purposes such as tourism, visiting family, signing contracts and attending conferences.
- This visa allows the holder to remain in the territory of Monaco for a maximum period of three months (90 days) within six months (180 days) from the entry date into the Schengen area.
- This visa also allows entry into all other Schengen Member States.
- This visa may be issued in three different kinds of entries: single-entry, double-entry and multiple-entry visas.
- All entry visas are valid for 180 days.
- Schengen visa applications must be lodged at the diplomatic mission of the country which is the main destination of the visit or its representation in Rwanda.
- Applicants wishing to visit other Schengen countries must lodge their applications at the diplomatic mission as well.
- Visa applications should be downloaded and must be in writing, giving all details required on the Visa Application Form.
- The application form must be completed and signed by the applicant before submission.
- The Schengen visa fees are the same for all 26 Schengen countries including Monaco.
- Note that Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Monaco visas.
Monaco Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to those who intend to take up paid employment in Monaco.
- Applicants are to also apply for an employment license.
- The employer must fill in an application form and submit it to the Employment Licenses Unit by hand or by mail.
- The Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the applicant should be submitted alongside all other documents to be submitted for application.
- The applicant's travel document should be original and must meet all requirements before application e.g. Date of issuance should be within the last 10 years.
- Copies of the applicant's qualification certificates and accreditation would be needed as well.
- A Cover letter by employer indicating the site of work should be provided.
- A valid police certificate would be requested for at the embassy.
- There should be evidence through a detailed vacancy report that shows that Monaco nationals were initially sought to fill the position the foreigner is about to fill.
- There should also be proof of long-term residence status or relation to a long-term resident in Monaco.
- Applicants are also required to have a health clearance form.
Monaco Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The student visa is issued as a Long-stay visa.
- This is referred to as the National Long-stay “D” visa. It allows foreigners to stay in Monaco for a period longer than a year.
- The Consulate of Monaco requires applicants to apply for student visas directly.
- A personal appearance may be necessary at the representation of Monaco.
- The student's passport must be signed and should have two blank passport pages for a Monaco student visa.
- The student's status letter/admission from your university faculty is to be submitted with one photocopy.
- The applicant's travel arrangement would also be requested.
Monaco Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa allows the holder to cross the international transit zone of Monaco’s International Airport.
- It is valid for 24 hours.
- Holders of this visa can only stay in the international zone of the airport. They are not allowed entry to the country.
- They are required to have a confirmed onward ticket to the destination country.
- All documents valid for entry into the next country should also be in the applicant's possession.
