Serbia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa entitles its holder to travel to Serbia for tourism or leisure.
  • The Serbia tourist visa is a type C visa and does not permit its holder to engage in business or work activities in Serbia.
  • The passport used in the visa application must be valid for at least 90 days from the date of departure from Serbia.
  • The Serbia visa application form should be filled carefully, preferably in BLOCK letters.
  • If using a travel agency, travellers are required to provide proof that the trip has been fully paid for.
  • The passport-size photograph (3.5x4.5cm) used in the visa application must be recent (taken not later than six months).
  • A return flight ticket is required during your visa application as proof that you intend to return to your country of origin after the expiration of the visa.
  • Travel health insurance covering the entire duration of stay in Serbia must be submitted. This insurance must cover all possible medical costs to the amount of not less than 20,000 Euros.
  • Proof that the visa fee has been paid should be submitted. A copy of the receipt should be attached to the visa application fee.
  • The visa fee is non-refundable. Please note that the embassy of the Republic of Serbia is not accepting cash.
  • Tourists travellers to Serbia should provide proof that they have enough funds to comfortably spend at least $24 for each day they intend to stay in Serbia.
  • Travellers are advised to be vaccinated against hepatitis A and B and rabies before going to Serbia.
  • If an underage is travelling with one parent, it is necessary to submit a relevant certified authorisation by the other parent.

Serbia Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreign citizens who intend to engage in business activities in Serbia and need to stay for a short period.
  • The Serbia business visa is also a type C visa (short-stay visa).
  • This Serbia business visa grants its holder a short stay of not more than 90 days within a period of 6 months from the day of first entry.
  • Business visa applicants need to submit a police record showing no criminal history. Travellers with a pending criminal case may not be issued this visa.
  • If travelling for a business meeting, a letter of invitation from an inviting company in Serbia must be presented.
  • Travellers should provide proof of financial sufficiency for the entire duration of their stay in Serbia.
  • Health insurance with a minimum coverage of 20,000 Euros to cover the entire duration of stay in Serbia is required.
  • The passport used in the visa application must be original and valid for at least 90 days from the date of your intended departure from Serbia.
  • A detailed travel itinerary that includes all destinations to be travelled to within Serbia, specific times, and means of transportations to move between those destinations, must be submitted.
  • Travellers to Serbia must show proof that they have confirmed accommodation for their entire stay in the country.
  • The receipt of payment of the visa application fee should be attached to the visa application form before submission.
  • The Serbia business visa can be extended for a period of up to 90 days.

Serbia Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Serbia work visa is a type D visa also called a Temporary Residence Visa.
  • The visa allows foreign citizens to travel to Serbia to study, work or reunite with family members.
  • During an application for a type D visa, an applicant needs to submit proof of reasons to stay in Serbia. This reasons must be strong enough for the visa to be granted.
  • The passport used in the visa application must be valid for at least 90 days from the date of departure from Serbia.
  • Three (3) copies of the completed visa application form must be sent.
  • Two (2) passport-size photographs (3.5x4.5 cm) are required.
  • Proof of accommodation for the duration of stay in Serbia.
  • Travellers to Serbia must have proof that they have enough funds to cover all expenses during their stay in Serbia. This proof could be in the form of a recent bank account statement or evidence of salary earnings.
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee should be submitted.
  • Rwandans applying for a work visa should ensure they have a confirmed job offer from a company or organisation based in Serbia.
  • If travelling to study, an offer of admission from a Serbian school is required.
  • Educational or work experience is required from foreign citizens intending to work in Serbia.
  • A police confirmation showing you have no criminal record, as well as a medical report showing a clean bill of health is required.
  • All official documents used during the visa application must be translated into Serbian.
  • When the application is approved, you will get a valid visa for a period of three to six months. This visa can then be renewed for up to one year.
  • A work permit which takes about the same process as getting this visa is, in most cases necessary. Without a work permit, a foreign citizen holding this visa is not authorised to work in Serbia.
